I agree with Anti's spec about the Pierre being wary of the baby's name. Maybe Pierre figures the baby was named after his father and that's why he breaks up with Miles' mother and sends them off of the island?

If someone breaches a security perimeter, the groups go banana-sh***t. But a kid who has been shot goes missing from a Dharma infirmary, and its like nothing happened? His dad goes and ties a few on on the swingset, then gets his bucket out to go clean up the classroom. Wouldn't he be running far and wide screaming about this? Question: I guess Miles never erased the tapes? He didn't have the time once Horace came?

Also isn't it possible that Chang just sent his family away to protect them immediately after the incedent. Darth Vader loses his arm (well most of him is machine), Luke loses his arm, Chang loses his arm. So many Star Wars references. I thought Hurley wanting to change Empire around was hilarious. Good episode. Not the best by any means, but any episode that follows a Ben episode is more likely to be a let down! Loved how Jack and Sawyer had the calm agreement about Kate's heart being in the right place!

He worked building the Swan, was not careful enough and got too close to the magnet and swoop! the filling drilled a hole in the brain. just thinking about the path of least resistance - magnet pulls the tooth straight up out of the tooth bone, hits the bone at the top of the mouth, passes thru or behind the eye cavity, up into the brain and makes a 90 degree angle to come out the forehead? can't picture that. wish i had stayed awake longer in physics class or was it anatomy class.

Remember in S2, Des told Jack that every time he got too close to the dividing wall in the Swan, his fillings hurt.

Yeah it is the same wall that was sealed off with 10 or 11 of those 5 gallon buckets sitting in front of it and Jack noticed it's electromagnetic properties right away because the key to the Halliburton on his neck would move toward the wall when he got close to it. I would think that would be why it was sealed off the way it was. Question I have, is why didn't Desmond get brained by his fillings when he went down there to turn the key? Maybe it's a different spot, I dunno.

The camera focused on the tape as Miles left the station.

He didn't seem like the clumsy dork (see dialed in's avatar), but more like a confident and in control person...I think we need to see more dialogue to be sure but it seems as though he was gone through a change of some sort.

He did seem better put together than he did before. Just kind of like he finally knows what's going on. I can't quite put my finger on it, but he did seem better than before. Standing up straighter, cleaner .... I'm not sure, but I feel like I noticed a little something too. We did only get to see him for about 30 seconds.

I thought that since Marvin is the main scientist guy there, they wanted him to investigate how the guy died. I think that is what Horace was yelling at him about on the walkie/phone. I would also assume that this minor incident is why they have brought in the scientists from Ann Arbor.
