I'm pretty sure I have figured out what the problem is. Now peeps will just say I am grasping at straws here, but I really think there is some weight to this - Anoop has zoned in on the non-voting portion of the audience.

Up until this season (because of Desai) I never voted. I have peeps I rooted for and obviously hoped they won, but never went out of my way to vote.

Anoop, for all intents and purposes still seems to be one of the more popular contestants on the show - whenever AI comes up in my circles, his name almost always comes up first. People genuinely seem to like not only him but his voice as well. Problem is, those people aren't necessairly voting however.

My overall goal for Anoop was and still is Top 4. It would be awesome to see him get his own performance on the finale - maybe bring the Clefs in. Realistically though, I'd be surprised if he gets to T5 at this point. I'm hopeful though.

Oh, and I'm starting the movement right now, Anoop, if you are reading this, I'm reaching out to you - sing "I Will Get There" by Boyz II Men next week

You may be on to something there. I've never voted before until last season when I threw some votes to Michael Johns the last 2 weeks he was in the competition and even then, I only voted maybe 20 times and that was it. This season, I have been voting for Anoop every week, because I didn't want another one of my faves eliminated too early like Johns last season, and I have also been really disgusted by how negative the judges have been to Anoop and treating him unfairly. This has made me vote like crazy for the guy, because I think he has a great voice and talent and deserves to make at least the Top 4, though I'd love a F3 of Anoop/Allison/Adam and a F2 of Anoop/Adam.

My complaint every year about this show other than the judges being asses & Ryan being annoying, is the fact that people can vote a limitless amount of times each week, instead of just limiting it to 20 votes per line or something. Most people who are spending money on music are not the types that would waste 2 hours out of their time redialing a phone or texting. So, every year there is a crappy winner who quickly fades into obscurity once the buzz of their win has died down.

For Anoop, I will be reserving another 2 hours of my time next Tuesday to vote for him in the hopes to keep him in another week. He's the first contestant I have done this for and I think he's worth it, because I've enjoyed his performances every week and I love the studio recordings of them. He has a great recording voice.
