I have no idea, but I feel kinda bad putting him here. Wasn't home from work to hear Dokey sing. Thank goodness. Hummm ... 2. Adam - too bad he is a bi-polar performer.... beautiful ballady songs & then over the top theatrics like last week... 3. Anoop - similar problem to Adam. He is a way better at the slow songs than the up tempo songs... gap 4. Kris - not fab. vocally but definitely got a raw deal from the judges 5. Matt - over sings every single song that he sings.... better this week than he has been in the past few... 6. Lil - Blech.... terrible, was waiting for the kidlets to be trotted out again for some sympathy votes.... do not get the appeal 7. Scott - horrific, ear shredding high notes. Are the deaf people voting for him? 8. Danny - he could fart out the phone book & the judges would praise the awesomeness of the fart.... So overpraised. Do not get the appeal at all. How can they call other contestants karaoke & not this evil corpse fucker... Should go: Marty Feldman, or Lil if there was a god - Go-gokey Will go: Kris |

Great
1. Allison - just 2 missed notes away from being perfect. Good 2. Adam - like the Smokey song 2 weeks ago, the key was too high to be very pleasant to listen to. Needs to show off other stuff besides his falsetto. 3. Anoop - Nice, but not great. Judges overpraised him a bit. I wish they'd stop being so hot and cold about him. Meh 4. Kris - boring. Big comedown from last week. 5. Matt - Niko did this much better. Decent, but way overpraised by the judges. Bad 6. Lil - looked good, but sounded like Paris Bennett fighting laryngitis. In and out of the melody all the way through. And the judges are right, she tries to karaoke everything and hasn't even tried to find her own style. 7. Danny - because he can't be in 10th place anymore. Could be on his way to blowing an almost guaranteed trip to the top 2. 8. Scott - he can't sing. The judges have finally figured this out and are giving excuses to cover up their mistake of pimping him earlier. B3: KRIS; B2: LIL; Going home: SCOTT |

1. Allison - agree with SLD, KLocke's version is still better but pretty damn good singing

Should be in the finale - 1. Allison - THIS was standing O great! 2. Adam - he was GREAT. Not standing O great, but great! OK - 3. Anoop - he sounded good, and the song wasn't boring like Kris'. I was intrigued. But Anoop is a one trick pony. He's ridiculous on the upbeat numbers, but so good on the ballads. 4. Kris - he sounded good, the song was just BORING. Meh - 5. Matt - he started out FANTASTIC, but then it tanked from there. He was off key and just blech. 6. Danny - Off key in his upper register. He showed a lot of flaws tonight. Go home, pls - 7. Lil - She chooses the worst songs ever, and then sings them abysmally. 8. Scott - No. Just no. B/H/G: Scott, Kris, Anoop |

6-8 were trainwrecks. 1-5 were merely meh. It might be the booze talking, but I didn't find Chokey nearly as awful as usual. Okay, change "might be" to "probably."

The Best:
Adam Allison Anoop -- These three vocally shitted on everyone this week. Adam & Allison had Idol moments. The Good: Matt Kris -- Both were vocally solid. Matt's arrangement I liked but Kris's with the harsh trumpets&electric guitar were not so good. MEH/OVERPIMPED: WifeKilla ShrillRounds -- JUDGES!!! STOP IGNORING THEIR CLEAR AS DAY PITCH ISSUES. Danny was flat and mediocre. But as much as I like Lil's personality her song choices and SHOUTING needs to stop. Please God, Save us from another week of ear bleeding: Scott I feel bad if anyone other than Scott goes home. (sans the WifeKiller. That would actually rival the CONSTANTINE moment) |

Allison - Loved it. Felt she connected emotionally in ways very few other contestants this season have shown to be capable of. Not Bad Anoop - Good vocal, but I actually didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else seems to have. I didn't think it was as good as his other (slower) performances. (Following three are interchangeable) Adam - Crazy good voice, but I just was not feeling today's performance at all. It got a little too repetitive in the middle and I guess I just don't find it very pleasing to listen to his upper register for 90 straight seconds. This is the first week when I haven't loved or hated Adam. Kris - Kris picked an absolutely terrible song and then had an absolutely terrible arrangement on top of an absolutely awful idea to sing in the mosh pit. However, I really enjoyed his voice and I keep coming back to him because he makes the type of music I would actually buy. Matt - He really pulled me in with the first few lines, then lost me near the middle. Again, the tone of his voice is really what draws me in. Varying Degrees of Bad Gokey - I think I might have some sort of hearing problem, because I thought he started really, really off. Then, it felt like he lost the melody and resorted to just powering through different combinations of the words "stand", "by", and "me" with screams interjected. Scott - Nice guy. Can't sing. Lil - Her lower register struggles constantly. She has no sense of vocal dynamics and shouts everything. Her voice is not the untouchable machine the judges make it out to be. Lil should be singing songs with a restricted range and strong melodies. Gut is telling me it's Kris' time, everything else is screaming Scott. |
