8. Gokey - He was almost likeable for about 15 seconds during the impressions last night, just almost though. Another solid performance that was in no shape or form drastically better then anyone else's (especially Anoop's) but we are told to accept it as the best thing since the 2nd coming.

7. Scott - I am shocked that people really found this as good as it has been recieved. To each is own, but all I heard was the same thing I have heard since his audition... a mediocore at best singer. If he doesn't go next week it will be a damn crying shame. Unfortunatley, all signs point towards him getting the pimp shot.

6. Lil - As I'm sure I said last week, I have no real problem with Lil, but she has been the definition of mediocrity since the 2nd week on the big stage. Much like Gokey, she was in no way, form, or fashion that much better then Anoop, but Cowell and company just let it slide... pathetic.

5. Lambert - I say the same thing every week - am not a fan of his voice, but he is not nearly as pompous in compairison to the three above him. He will never get any higher on this list. I will give him points for innovation though - I just can't take the screech.

4. Alison - I will put it out there now, "Don't Speak" is the WORST song to sing on AI. It is slow, there is no way to arrange it well, and is the defintion of forgettable. Why she chose this out of the hundreds of thousands of songs she could have chosen is beyond me. Hate to say it but one more average week and she is done for.

3. Kris - He really grew on me this week. A very smart and well delievered song and the fact that he showed ties to two of my faves (Megan and Anoop) only helped his standing in my eyes. If my peeps can't win this thing, I will definltey be rooting for him..

2. Matt - I almost in a small way feel responsible. I have wanted him to do "You Found Me" since the very beginning. He does it and they shit all over it. I personally found the live performance quite good and the studio kicks major ass. They are going to continue to taunt him and Anoop until their swan song, so I don't even see the relevance in complaining about it. Song selection is key for him from here on out. I have confidence he can make a dent next week.

1. Anoop - Vocally, he was as good as anyone on Tuesday. Was it the best performance? No, I am not saying it was. Was it the best song choice? Absolutley not. I am as big an advocate for the guy as anybody and even I attest to the fact that he blew it in that department. This was the perfect opportunity to bust out some BIIM and really have a "moment", he didn't and clearly payed the price for it. Now however, he needs to come out like gang busters this Tuesday and really put his stamp on things. Screw the Judges advice for future weeks, just play the game that America wants you to play and do some damage.

I firmly believe Giraud and Desai can surprise some people these next few weeks. They have nothing to lose at this point.
