I understand it was your decision to leave House. True? KAL PENN: Yes. I was incredibly honored a couple of months ago to get the opportunity to go work in the White House. I got to know the President and some of the staff during the campaign and had expressed interest in working there, so I'm going to be the associate director in the White House office of public liaison. They do outreach with the American public and with different organizations. They're basically the front door of the White House. They take out all of the red tape that falls between the general public and the White House. It's similar to what I was doing on the campaign.

Here's the EW interview referred to above (also has interviews with the head
writers). Apparently KP wanted out to do some more political and education work (like the course he taught at U Penn last year), although some other spoiler
people claim it's not true.
I'm a little less annoyed because if he wanted out to work with Obama, that's pretty cool. It's not like they were giving him anything to do on House, until the last few episodes. But I don't know if I can watch anymore Chase and Cameron angst (already starting next week with Cameron still crushing on House). |

I'm not upset that Kal left the show to pursue other things, I just think the way they did it made no sense and was stupid. There should have been more
thought put into it in my opinion. It didn't fit.

Next thing for House: 24 crossover episode!
House and team will be assigned to diagnose and find cure for Jack Bauer after the bioagent he was exposed to! They had to off Kutner because he's brown and just getting the security clearance to be in Jack's presence would use up the last 6 hours of the show. Jack could kill off Cameron and Chase after they start treatment # 2 (which, as always, will start shutting down his kidneys). Morman Foreman will return as the mole. |

Kutner's suicide sounds so spectacularly bad, I almost wish I watched last night's show to see it. Let me guess. House isn't really affected by it, gives some snarky response and it's back to business as usual, right? |

Actually they played the 'how could House have missed the signs?!' angle and he tortured himself trying to figure it out.
But yes, business as usual. Funny, everyone's been so caught up in the Kutner death nobody's mentioned Meatloaf and his wonky heart. |

This was the first time I had ever watched House. (Big Meat Loaf fans in our home.) I was annoyed that they spent so much time on the suicide, and so little
time on Meat. But after reading this thread, I guess this was a big deal. They shouldn't haven't wasted Meat on an episode with something else so big
going on.

There's an opening on House's team now. Will Chase or Cameron fill it?
Are you planning to fill the position?
There are rumors that Chase and Cameron may be getting married. Care to comment?
Does it bring Cuddy and House closer together?
Any more cast changes looming this season?

You can NOT be for real! ETA: BTW you forgot Monica, Knox, Kaito, and Isaac's girlfriend was Simone.

Kal Penn leaving had nothing to do with race or anything else other than him wanting to leave, now that i've actually read all the articles where he was
interviewed.
It's the method they chose I object to. But hey, they wanted to do it to advance other storylines apparently, it remains to be seen if it works out that way or not. |

to me this season has been all over the map story wise this year. The Foreman/13 hookup has been so-so at best. The House/Cuddy hookup had a terrible blowoff
and they've been phoning it in since.
Hopefully last nights events will serve as a jump off point to kick this season in the ass a little. |

I am still livid. Kutner was my fave of all the characters, except House/Wilson/Cuddy and this is how his character is treated? Even if Kal did ask to be written out, he deserved a hell of a lot better than that shit last night. At least CTB got a decent send off. I am really pissed and disappointed. |

Hopefully last nights events will serve as a jump off point to kick this season in the ass a little. The problem is why does there always need to be a death to kick the season in the ass? I thought they already tried that with Amber with no real consequences. Sure, Wilson and House weren't friends for about a month but then it went back to normal. There was a conference call with Kal and the producers today and they admitted that while the death will drive some stories forward, House's main theories are always people don't change and everybody lies. And the headwriter agrees with that first theory. So more likely we will see a few minor changes and then back to status quo, I think. I hope not though. House has been losing some of his diagnostic abilities with Kutner solving a lot of cases and on top of that, he should lose confidence because he thinks he missed the signs with Kutner. Make that last longer than an episode about Cameron and Cuddy fighting over House, stupid writers!
