Stargate Universe follows the adventures of a team of explorers from present-day Earth after they find the Ancient spaceship Destiny. They must fend for themselves aboard the ship in the far reaches of the universe as they are unable to return to Earth. The announced main cast is Robert Carlyle as Dr. Nicholas Rush, Justin Louis as Colonel Everett Young, David Blue as Eli Wallace, Brian J. Smith as Lieutenant Matthew Scott, Jamil Walker Smith as Master Sergeant Ronald Greer, Alaina Huffman as Master Sergeant Tamara Johansen, and Elyse Levesque as Chloe Armstrong. It also has Ming-Na, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Christopher McDonald in it. It supposed to premier in October on SciFi channel. Trailer I damn surprised the show could get Robert Carlyle. There is a few decent writers then there is a few that are pretty bad. I am really surprised they didn't put SGA Dr Keller in it. Writers loved her for some reason. Looks like Eli will be the new Rodney McKay. I will be totally shocked if Lou Diamond Phillips make it to the end of the season.

Especially since Teyla was filling in the Seven of Nine role quite nicely. Robert Carlysle is a huge coup, and I like Ming-Na. I agree with the previous poster -- I don't expect Lou Diamond Phillips to last long...

I was shocked as hell he would do it. I did read something about a crossover. Spoiler [+] I read Richard Dean Anderson is supposed make an appearance. Also, Michael Shanks might also make a cameo.

I'm sure Robert Carlysle wouldn't mind the steady work. I hope he really puts an effort into it. I just watched the two Stargate "Movies" back-to-back. It was nice to see them all again, but I was a bit disappointed. They just retreaded all their best stuff with nothing new and didn't move any plot points forward.
