It's like they were saying, "You're different! You're unique! Therefore you should try to look and sound exactly the same as everybody else who's different and unique!"

I was on the phone while trying to also listen to what randy was saying so im not 100% certain, but I think the jist of it was that saying you dont care isnt a good idea, but at the sametime he doesnt think she meant anything bad by it.

If you understand that she meant she didn't care specifically that Simon didn't like her performance that what was bad about it. The judges are such tards, they just used that as an excuse to speed things up. Ryan always asks the contestants what they think about the judges comments and they usually spout of with shit about how they did their best, or it's okay or whatever. Megan just chose to word it differently. What did they want her to say, "oh I think it's really cool that Simon dissed me." They knew she didn't mean she didn't care about being on the show anymore and Simon deliberately twisted what she said. It was rude and uncalled for. Even if they didn't want to go through the save farce he could have just said Ryan her performances haven't lived up to expectations, we're not going to use the save tonight or something. He didn't have to say "we don't care" implying they don't care about her or saving her or even considering her because that isn't what she meant at all.

Cowell has really turned into a hateful asshole this year.
