Her voice is so enjoyable to listen to. It's just so sweet and laid back and I could just lay back and relax and listen to Megan sing. I adore those kinds of singers who I could just listen to all day.I could not agree more.

Ugh, why does America hate the interesting people? At this rate we'll have a final 3 of that boring ass spaced out blind fucker that looks like he's in
pain during every performance, the irrlevant Indian slum bitch, and the fat church guy that can afford glasses to coordinate with every outfit but can't
buy a slimfast. FUCK YOU AMERICA.

How do you vote against somebody? Please tell me, as I'd love to hardcore vote against Gokey and Blindy next week.

I bet that bird moment sealed her fate in Simon's eyes. I know it would make the decision for me if I was in his shoes. (that and she's not a
particularly strong singer.)
People laugh at "Caw Caw", but she basically fucked herself and possibly burned a big bridge. |

My guess is she was just happy with making it as far as she did. She admitted she never expected to make it past auditions and I doubt she ever really thought
she could win this show. Unlike some of the people, she didn't have any formal training and I'm guessing singing is just something she does in her free
time and never really has considered making a career out of it. She's probably happy with her 15 minutes she got from this show.

I agree with you on that. Also, I have a feeling that thing with her brother yelling at the trained monkey on Tuesday night didn't do much to help either.
But she seemed totally cool with everything. I never hated her cause she seemed like a cool girl who was having a good time, nothing more nothing less.

The cawdess speaks to her loyal subjects: (unfort this article is written from the viewpoint of a majorly jealous c.unt)
In case you missed American Idol's elimination show last night, the tattooed, blond, quirky girl Megan Joy cawed and flapped
her arms like a bird as she took her bottom-three stool.
We needed to know. So we asked the booted Idol on her goodbye press conference call this morning. Read on to what she has to say... On Cawing and Flapping Her Wings: "I love birds and bird noises, and I just decided that if I'm going out, I'm going out with a bang. I'm just gonna be myself. I flew the whole time. I'm always just making noises, and animal noises, and [Allison Iraheta and Anoop Desai] were like, 'Meg, if you go tonight, we're going to caw for you and support you.' So I [said to them after they were safe], 'Don't you forget to caw, Anoop.' " On Saying She 'Didn't Care': When asked Wednesday night what she thought of Simon's criticism of her, Megan flippantly said she "didn't care." Now, she explains, "I care about the competition. I didn't want people to misunderstand me not caring. I just didn't care that Simon didn't like my song. So, I couldn't help but be honest." On Her Brother's Heckling: "I'm always proud of my brother [C.J.]," she says. "He's my boy. And he was like me, he can't help but be himself. I wasn't surprised at all that he did it. It cracked me up. I was glad that Kara ended up taking it lightheartedly." Did she agree with the "broken record" comment? Answer: yes. "Well, we do hear that comment a lot, you know. It kind of gets, like, well, 'All right, we already know that.' " On the Kara-Brother Fight: On the commercial break after Kara got heckled by C.J., the judge went up to her heckler and had words with him. "I think she was just kind of like, 'How dare you? Who do you think you are?' And then she was like, 'Who are you?' He's like, 'Her brother.' And then she was like, 'Oooh. I see.' It was kind of funny." On Her Most Memorable Night: "The night I was sick. The miracle that I actually got through my song because I was literally was laying on the ground with IVs in me [30 minutes] before." On Her Goals: "I wanted to make the tour. That was my only goal." Her other goal, according to her bio on the American Idol website, is to appear on the Nick Jr./Noggin children's show Yo Gabba Gabba!. "It's just pure genius. If I could be on it, I would do anything. I would do [their segments] Cool Tricks or the Super Music Friend Show. I'd do anything. I'd do the Dancey Dance." She would also love to act, do cartoons or do voice work. "I like doing voices." On Reuniting With Son Ryder: "I'm gonna hold him for as long as he'll let me, and I'm going to try not to sob like a lunatic because I'm sure he'll just be confused and scared. It's going to be beautiful. I cannot wait." She adds that she doesn't get to go home until "hopefully Wednesday" because she has to "wrap things up here" and finish doing press. On the Haters: "I learned that there's always going to be negative people-haters if you will-that try to bring you down, but you just got to forget about 'em and move past it, always." On Her Next Tattoo: "I had a lucky ring that I've worn the entire time, and I'm going to have that tattooed on my ribs." (Ouch!) Is it us, or did you think that Megan Joy went out with just a bit too much attitude Wednesday night? Cawing: love it or hate it? Would you buy her record? |

Everything she did last night was pretty awesome. So much mocking of Idol itself, it was gold.

Megan Joy knows not everyone was a fan of her quirky style of singing and dancing on American Idol, and the day after her exit, the Sandy, Utah, native had a message for all the haters. "If you didn't get me, I probably wouldn't get you, so we're even," Joy told PEOPLE with a laugh. Sensing that she would be sent packing, Joy, 23, ensured that her last night on the Idol stage was a memorable one. She told judge Simon Cowell she didn't care that he hadn't liked her performance the previous night, and she flapped and cawed like a bird as she made her way to her Bottom 3 seat. "If I'm gonna go out, I was ready to go out with a bang," she said of her antics. "It was [good TV], and I'm here to entertain." She claimed there were no hard feelings over Cowell's announcement that the judges would not even consider using the Judges' Save option on her. After the show ended, Cowell joined Joy onstage and the two kissed and made up. "He gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek," Joy reported. "We both laughed, and he was like, 'Let's get this awkwardness over with.' " She also received a message of support from two high-profile fans, Joel Madden and Nicole Richie, whom she'd met recently while out at dinner. "We'd actually exchanged numbers, and I got a really nice text from them that said I did great," Joy said. "It made me feel really good." During her relatively brief Idol run, Joy was the source of much behind-the-scenes intrigue. There was her bout with the flu that left her hooked up to an IV until a mere 30 minutes before her Country Week performance, and her brother's heckling of Kara DioGuardi after the new judge criticized Joy's performance this week. There were even rumors of a budding romance between Joy and fellow contestant Matt Giraud, though Joy insists there's no truth in that. "Not at all," said the recently divorced single mother. "We're just friends. He has a girlfriend, and I have no interest in dating right now." The two have, however, forged a tight bond, she says, over "just being lonely, you know, and wanting to laugh." Joy's looking forward to returning home next week to spend time with her 2-year-old son Ryder, whom she talked to on the phone every day but hasn't seen in two months. She also plans to commemorate the Idol experience by adding to her extensive tattoo collection: "I have a lucky ring that I've worn since the beginning of the show [of] a heart and inside the heart is a bird with a banner [that] says, 'Fly lightly.' It's kind of like my favorite saying, and I'm gonna get it [tattooed] big on my ribs." Beyond that, she's looking forward to trying her hand at writing music and finding out what the future holds. "A part of me is very sad to be done [with Idol]," she said. "I'm probably gonna cry a lot when when I have a moment. But it's good $*%@@ too. It's not over for me." - Shawna Malcom |

Amen to this.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: It seems like you performed the song way more in the judges' faces last night than you did on Tuesday night. Was that a big F.U. to them? MEGAN JOY: Yeah, I was ready to be right in their faces. They have a habit of talking to each other while we sing. That's so rude. http://www.ew.com/ew/arti...71835_20269738_2,00.html |

God bless Megan Joy. She would be FANTASTIC doing voice-over work.
Calling out all the flaws of the show while still staying classy and true to herself. I would not dare miss this tour now! |
