In a radio interview this morning with Phoenix station KISS, American Idol judge Paula Abdul revealed that next week's performance-night theme will be Songs From the Year You Were Born. That means we'll hear songs ranging from 1980 (Danny Gokey) to 1992 (Allison Iraheta), with a whole bunch of tunes from the 1984-86 period, when six of the nine remaining finalists' parents made the biggest mistake of their lives. (If you click the above link to hear the interview, she spills the beans at the 12-minute mark.) A rep for the show says the theme will be officially announced during tonight's results show.
