Says he's mixing it up a bit so that it "could exist in a pop record" today. The 'tude at the start is spot-on, right for today and true to the original. The melody line is perfect. A Steven Tyler vibe. Poler is dancing gleefully. He takes the title line and bounces tonally between the melody and the octave above it, without missing a note. He gives some well-place riffs, and adequate dance steps. You could anticipate the last note would be saved-and-delivered-bigtime, but that one really .. delivered. A 9. Poler: True genius doesn't fulfill expectations. True genius shatters it. Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Adam Lambert! Simon: That was very brave, Adam! I gotta hand it to you. At least we get rid of this karaoke nonsense. I don't think it'll make you as popular as last week, but you had fun. Good for you. Randy: I thought it might be corny. But you got that voice, you worked it out, you're in that star zone! Adam: This wouldn't have been, without Rickey Minor and the band! They worked it out! Great arrangement! Kara: Every week I can't wait to see what you're gonna do next. It was like Studio 57 in here!
