Now I love twists and drama like the next guy but the judges save has turned this show into torture for our amusement. It's not like shit in the world isn't bad enough, we have to invent more ways to make peoples lives miserable?
This show has strangely turned from what used to be the #1 family show into a disturbing, sadistic, farce. The judges are kind of like Jigsaw. They can now control one persons livilihood and end their dream to be The Idol in such a way where it turns personal, and quite bizarre really. When it was just faceless Americans merely voting less for someone than another it was fine. But now it's being handled in a way that seems really personal to me. I would be careful if I were them, because if they take on someone truly unbalanced we may see a judges murder during this season. (Please let it be KARA)
I actually had no problem with it last week, it was a bit mean but wasn't too bad. They just said "no" and they cut the 2 down.
Here is what changed. If they are going to do judges save, just do it. Don't play these fucking mindgames like "one of you we are strongly considering saving" "and that person is... ALEXIS" now sing for us and perhaps you will be worthy! That's cruel!
This week the way they played out Alexis was way overboard. They gave her false hope that she was going to be saved.
I thought it was bullshit because she sung just as well as before or actually maybe BETTER and yet she deserved to go? Even though you said she would be saved? Is Dolly Parton going to have to break through the stage and proclaim "no dont boot Alexis, don't take my baby pleeeese" in order to save her tonight????
Why in the world do they have to sing the same crappy song choice that got them booted anyway? Is there some incredible take on the song that they can come up with in 30 seconds or less that would save them?
And what the fuck is it with the judges talking amongst themselves during the performance like some junior high clique? That's just stupid. Can we wait a commercial break and at least think about the fucking performance during it and actually LISTEN and then make a rational decision?
No they have to decide *unanimously* NOW.
A good compromise to the current system would be let them sing and then deliberate and be nervous and then announce if they were being booted, do it really quickly don't play the usual mindgames with them like "you are not going to like this but... you are staying another week!!!" bitch please.
By the way before anyone accuses me I was damn happy with Alexis leaving tonight. Her performance was muddy and not worthy of staying. But I do have a problem with the judges save and how it's totally mean and sadistic, so now I feel for her.
