(and they didn't keep repeating themselves about some stupid exile alliance either) it didnt REALLY start turning into bs until pearl islands agree/disagree or discuss (or just say tldr and flame someone or post coach hate or whatever you want)

I think there were some staff changes somewhere around All Stars. They used to make some really witty subtle jokes through editing too. I think they may be moving back to that a bit this season with Coach, but only because he gives them so much material. http://survivorsucks.com/forums/64 Um... he's saying the editing is now shitty so hardly a slobbering fan thread that belongs in LTS. That's not true. All Stars was a perfectly good season in terms of editing, but the boot order/cast was so ridiculous, that people despise it. Vanuatu was hated enough by the public that the producers completely changed the format of the show for Palau, and it started going downhill since there. Notice how Palau was the first season with half of the cast from California. It was the first season with 15 mactors. It was the first season with half the cast wanting to quit. It was the first season where the entire season was focused on one person. Yeah, PI had Rupert and Fairplay, but there were a ton of other great characters. In Palau, we had Tom and Steph eating up all of the air time, and it was the season in which everything started going downhill. Guatemala was much better, but it still focused on Steph, and the three hot girl trifecta were not shown at all. In Exile, 4 people were shafted in the editing room, and it got even worse during CI and Fiji. Even though the editing has gotten much better in China, Gabon, and Tocantins in terms of editing fairness, Survivor will never be back in its prime.

None of the seasons have been as terrible as Thailand. All of them have been better than the majority of the pre-ASS seasons. The character, editing, and challenges have all been greatly superior. Thank goodness Survivor has gotten so much better and that is why the show is still on air.

X btw i wasnt talking about "pre ass" i just said early seasons. its been a gradual process, but i think PI really started the bs editing with poopert. that said, in PI even super boring people like darrah their fair share of aitime, and i remember pretty much everyone from that cast. palau was the worst, that season and fiji are the only seasons where i barely remember anyone. i actually loved vanuatu btw. idk why people dislike it >.>

An unlikable guy in a wife beater beat out 6 women that people were rooting for (in a season with such strong gender lines).

There wasn't alot of suspense with the fat five voting out the younger ones on their tribe either. The female tribe was a lot more interesting though, and the post-merge was really good.

It was also one of the first seasons to emphasize making people more likeable or noncontroversial. Fuck it, I wanted to see Ami kiss her girlfriend. With me it's the opposite as far as loyalties. I actually found the womens tribe insufferably boring and grew to appreciate the mens tribe.
