Always go to court and they will usually drop it down to a lower fine with a lower penalty. Also if for some random reason the cop that pulled you over doesn't show up to the court date you are off scott free. I think three of my speeding tickets would have been for four points but I went to court and they lowered it to two points. Can make a big difference on your insurance premium and I believe in some states if you have a total of 6 points you have to pay penalty to the state for three years.
