I remember reading that Joe is a "Jesus Freak" somewhere... verbatim. Now that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I think if anyone is going
to have an issue with Spencer being gay, it's gonna be Joe. Stephen's from NYC and I'm guessing a Reform (Liberal) Jewish person, and he's
definitely not Orthodox (Extremely Conservative) at the very least... so I'm guessing he'd be more at ease w/ a gay person than a southern Christian
like Joe. Sydney's also stated that she had a very Conservative upbringing from her parents. I don't know if she exactly strikes me as someone who
would have any problem w/ Spencer's sexuality, but it doesn't change the fact that Spencer is from what we know, in probably the least compassionate
alliance he could be in for his situation. If Joe has a problem w/ Spencer's "secret", it could explain whyJoe is the next one to go. When
logically it seems to be at 3-3, I could see Spencer becoming alligned w/ Taj/Stephen/JT, taking out Joe Thursday and then I could see Jalapao booting Sydney
next week as the odd women out, with or without Spencer's vote.

I think if there is any friction caused by Spencer coming out, that it would work to his advantage, at least for the short term. I am sure none of them would
want to be part of ousting someone who just had this emotional experience and shared something that important to so many people watching this show.
If Sydney is a working model, then she will have worked with numerous gay men and probably women. I get the sense she would be very accepting. There is an insider video where Sydney questioned why Spencer didn't like her back rubs... guess her gaydar wasn't on with Spencer, and now she will understand why her body isn't buying her favor with the young cute stud. Joe had a pre-show interview that described himself as religious. My own bias hopes this situation gets his ass booted. JT would be the only other person that might be a bit bothered by Spencer coming out. But JT seems like an intelligent and polite fellow, so don't think that will happen. Realistically though, I think they have all watched Survivor, and Survivor has always had gay players so I think they will see this as a non issue in the game. Thanks for posting on youtube Survivorphoenix.

The timing of Todd's revelation to the media that he and Spencer are dating caused me to suspect that Spencer's number is up in the next episode.
If Spencer is the next one out, their relationship can get the maximum publicity because the interviewers are now free to ask Spencer about it in his exit
interviews. In one of her interviews, Sandy said that her tribe will regret keeping Sydney over her because they will lose the next few challenges. This
suggests that Sydney is safe next episode. The only way that I see Joe going this week is if everyone votes for Taj and she plays the HII and Taj votes for
Joe. Given that Taj will have been to Exile at least 3 times and her surprise throwaway vote for Joe at the last TC, it would be risky for Jalapao to try to
vote her out without some plan to make her think that she is safe. Since there is no mention of any scheme or the HII in any of the clues or the promos, I
think that any consideration of voting out Taj will be shown early in the episode before the IC happens.

The preview clearly states something about a "secret." Don't overlook that. I think the scene with JT looking shocked and Joe looking down could
be when Spencer is outed.
And what about Taj's flipout? Where does that come in to the Jalapao drama? I don't know, I'm still leaning towards Joe being the next one out. Probst also mentioned Spencer in his list of "stars." Unless he becomes a big character in all of one episode and gets voted out, I'm going to doubt it. In that case, Candace and Carolina would also be "stars." |

I wouldn't take the promo voiceovers too seriously. Last week, one said that one castaway (Sandy) scares her tribe and that was not why she was voted
out.

I dunno why I think Taj could be going home this episode...

Actually, she was a pretty big presence on Jalapao whenever they were shown. Sandy came off as a big personality in both of the episodes Jalapao went to Tribal Council. She had time to develop as a character, and even though she was voted out pre-merge, she's still going to be remembered as a personality. Spencer has done nothing so far. I just don't see him getting voted out until he's had time to prove that he has some sort of personality. And all in one episode? It just doesn't seem likely.

Those pictures tell us a story of what we think happens in a situation when a guy outs himself to his straight friends. The disappointment and slight disgust
that looks to be in JT's eyes and in Joe's gaze downward while Spencer looks on sheepishly.
I think this is misdirection, and is from a challenge or maybe after a discussion about strategy. I would hope the guys wouldn't react like that to Spencer coming out. Todd's timing about dating Spencer is a bit suspect, but I agree with everyone that we can't see Spencer leaving yet, he hasn't had a story arc even begin until this episode. And this is a story that the editors would have glommed onto much sooner if it ended with his ousting this episode. |

JT looks real pissed. Joe is looking down and not making eye contact. Spencer looks ashamed and embarrassed. If that's an accurate description, Joe is the underperformer. Spencer is just a kid, he's not comfortable with a grownup "real pissed" with another grownup. |

I doubt its about JT, Joe, or Spencer. It looks like a gathering of minds on who to vote out. My guess is Stephen underperforms and the group debates on who to vote out. It might be them strategizing about blindsiding Taj. Spencer and JT look like they have regret while Joe is just looking down. Either Taj or Joe will be booted. I doubt its about Spencer being gay. |

Ouch, looks like JT gets his net stuck in his tooth while he tries to catch something and as a result yanks his tooth out.

If the hidden idol was used wouldn't they pimp it out in the previews? I'm probably wrong - eh - but why eliminate Spencer simply because Sandy said
she didn't find out he was gay until after the game? If Spencer gets voted out that's after the game for them. Or maybe it's Sydney after her bump
last week.

I don't think the idol will be played tonight. |

Spencer and Todd exposing their gaymance probably has nothing to do with Spencer getting bounced. Spencer is officially "outted" tonight, so
they're like
"Hey, we're gay and in love." Spencer is not going home tonight. Taj, however, has it out for Joe, and he's probably going BYE BYE! |

Picture from Survivor Phoenix:
This was Taj's confessional after she found the idol, so this confessional had to have come after her third stay at exile, but if you actually rewatch this scene, the confessional appears to be at Exile Island again, so I guess she's heading back there in the next episode? |

yeah, I thought that was weird how most of confessionals came from scenes looking like she was on exile.
