Levity is good :) Cheyenie, I get what you're saying about promos and stuff that are helpful, but what about if a question's flat-out answered in a promo? I'm still not sure the crying one was already answered yet, but it seems like if it's just plain answered it shouldn't count. This has nothing to do with spoilers or anything. I actually went back and looked over some old quizzes to prepare doing this. This sort of thing never came up with MissScamper (dang she must've really prepared!) but it did with pagongschlong and if I remember correctly (obviously when I was browsing through the old thread I wasn't looking for this in particular) there were some times he threw out a question because it ended up being answered in a promo or something. I don't know, that seems normal and fair to me.

Let me think it over. If anyone else has any opinions on questions that end up being answered before an ep airs, speak now! And LOL, I hope we haven't scared any new quiz-takers away with all our talking and clarifications! Don't be scared away people! We don't usually talk about things this much, I promise! Well, at least not usually until after the ep airs. ;)

Posts: 1005 (03/04/09 2:12 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I don't know if my opinion helps, but I try my best to avoid spoilers because I like to be surprised and let the story unfold as the writers intended, yet I always watch the promos and sneak peeks. To me, those are handed out by the network, they want you to watch, those mini-clips hold me over during the week long wait for a new episode. I never find they reveal too much, sometimes they are even misleading. So if you decide to throw out hte question or not, I just wanted to say that I don't think non-spoiler people are at a disadvantage here. The network assumes you're going to watch those, they are meant to draw in viewers, so if someone decides not to watch it, that's their own perogative. I don't really think it affects the quiz, but I understand this week is weird, and I'll support whatever the decision is (keep or throw out the questions).

I think you got me, but just to make it clear for everyone - this isn't a spoiler/non-spoiler issue, just an issue of if something is already answered or not. I don't think it'll hardly ever come up, but lucky me it came up my second quiz. Throwing out a question is a last resort for me and I would only ever even consider it for one that's completely flat-out answered (and still considering it so if you got an opinion speak). That being said, I went back and rewatched the promo right after the last episode and I see no crying so I'm not sure what Mister Hooper's talking about? So unless it was in some other promo then this all won't even be an issue this time, either way I decide. I think because of what happened before I starting writing the quizzes, I tried to be very careful and maybe, growing pains and all, I was too careful and things have gotten a little too serious. I want to change that starting next quiz.
