I'm not surprised. I knew it wasn't doing well in the ratings. I'm glad we will get a resolution. It would have been worse not to get one.

So many questions... | ||

So what is up with all the great new shows tanking in the ratings? Is it because of DVR's? Is it because of iTunes? Is it because of Hulu? Or are numbnuts
just not watching these great dramas? Am I the weird one for liking Eli Stone, Dirty, Sexy, Money, Jericho and Life on Mars so much just to have them
cancelled? Am I living in some parallel universe? I think I have a nose bleed now. <waiting for the bright flash of light>

Day Break was a hell of a lot more original and ABC pulled the plug after 7 eps even when the show only had 13 eps.

Shows like this just can't survive on the major networks anymore. Unless a new show is a procedural, medical drama or laugh-track sitcom, it's probably
going to be cancelled. A network show needs to have mainstream appeal in order to bring in enough viewers to remain profitable.
Most of the good scripted series have migrated to the cable networks. |

I loved the Brit version, very very much.
I was excited by some of the episodes of this version and the cast. But, there were some downright awful episodes of this show that were just cringe worthy. To succeed, they would have to dumb it down, but, who needs another dumbed down show? A nice effort, but, the Brit version stands on its own. |

I really enjoyed this show, but since it came back they dropped the plot about him being in a coma trying to get back and barely touched on it every episode.
It's like they were told (by the studio/network) that people prefer "Lost" plotlines. Better to have supernatural BS.
I don't think we can blame DVRs, ITunes or Hulu because I watch more shows due to them. Used to be if something started at the wrong time I'd just skip it. Shows these days are so often written like serials and if you miss one you're confused. My DVR has allowed me to watch them when I want to. I never tuned in to 24 until I got Tivo. P.S. Jason O'Mara is a beautiful man and I can't wait to see him in his next thing. And I actually liked Michael Imperioli's mutton chops.

Phantom Nut Syndrome wrote:Totally agree with this. I thought last night was a pretty good episode though. The bar being named Glenister's was a nice homage to Philip Glenister ( the actor that played the Guv in the original ). |

The whole watching the fight at the strip club scene seemed a little gratuitous. At least none of the strippers were shown giving lap dances, what with the
lap dance being a late seventies/early eighties invention.
Am I the only one who wishes last night's show had ended with a freaked out Sam witnessing Ali lose his rematch with Norton? Now, that would have been a mindbender!

Page 17!!! Are you kidding me? I had to go to the search bar to find it.
I know the show is cancelled and I was losing interest a few epis ago, but I just saw the latest and it was very, very good, back to the show's original promise. I will really miss this show. Fuck ABC, they are too quick to pull the trigger. |

ABC is making a huge mistake by cancelling this before even trying a new time slot. Following LOST is wrong. Two blockbusters back to back is too much
intensity. I think it would do better on it's own night of the week.
