Julie's so much more believable with Seven than as a "bad" girl. And he's chasing the Coach for best actor on this show. Glad Street's
storyline is (finally!) winding down -- hope ratings keep the show alive until after it does and then some.

Another great episode! Loved Buddy having to deal with his brat kids. Poor Landry never gets a break. Too funny him saying that is information you need to know
(that Devin is a lesbian). Loved Tim's highlight reel. Coach really needs to put his foot down and tell JD's dad that he is JD's coach, not him.

Mrs Coach when Coach opened the truck door for her was my favourite moment. So adorable.

Another shout out to poor Landry. I'm still lovin' his bandmate, though.
Buddy also had a rough episode. His kids were brats, but understandably so. LOL at how they drank the tree hugger liberal coolade and Lila is locked in the Dillon mindset. I'm glad that everything turned out well for Buddy in the end. Yeah for Jason sticking to his guns and getting some good money for the house, but that storyline = choppy. They went from disaster to "all done" in a flash. The video rocked. I'm starting to like Tim's brother a little more. If they aim to keep it real, Mrs. Coach needs to quit sporting cleavage during school hours. JD's dad is still a prick. Coach needs to get some balls and deal with him. BTw, is it just me, or does JD look alot like Colt McCoy? Intentional?

Either JD or is dad is going to snap and big time. That kid s so repressed and under his dad's thumb it's not going to end well. I can see a suicide
storyline here easily.

That'd fit quite well.

Seems like they have a different, and vastly inferior, writing team working on the Street story arc. Hard to figure out whether the fight at the open ouse or the instant conversion to sports agent was harder to swallow. Rest of the episode was so good, you could almost forgive it, but I'm still gonna be glad to see him go. |

Enjoyed this week's episode. Coach's ongoing ego angst has been priceless.
I agreed with Coach re: the house. It's generally a bad idea to buy more house than you can afford. The only thing the puzzled me was that Coach, an AD and Mrs. Coach, a principal, should be pulling down a pretty decent combined salary, even in a small town. Dillon is playing 5A football, so it can't be that small. I'm glad Matt found a place to shine. He's such a cutie. The dynamics between him, Julie and Coach made me LOL. The two amigos in NY was interesting. Their "goodbye" scene almost looked like real #+*#!. Something tells me that JD's dad is going to try to get Coach fired in the end in favor of his buddy. He's such a prick and I still hate him. Tyra, Tyra, what are we going to do with you? I hope she knocks the crap out of him next week.

The acting performances on this show make up for any of the ridiculous plot hole conveniences. Street's storyline was very, very fairy tale, but the
ending scene (including Riggins holding back +@#!%) made it all worthwhile.

That ending scene may be my favorite moment on this show. When it came on Direct TV, I said that it reminded me that the guy who plays Riggins is quite good. I
stick by that. It's also so damn moving - I immediately thought of the Texas Forever in the pilot and how they may not ever have what they hopes for back
then, but they'll always be linked.

Great ep. Glad Jason got a happy ending.
Mrs Coach's face during the dinner with Saracen was priceless. Adorable. |

I read an article somewhere and Scott Porter (Street) said that last scene with Riggins with very emotional for both actors, and they did really cry filming
it. I'm gonna miss Street. His, starting from the very beginning, was one of the most interesting storylines I've ever seen on TV.

Aww, Tim is sad to see Jason go, as am I. Good for Jason though. He seems to be good at it. Good for Coach for standing up to Tami about the house. If you
can't afford it, you can't afford it. And he makes a good point about what if they lose their jobs. Love how Julie helped Matt talk Coach into giving
him a chance at another position. Tyra, Tyra. She shouldn't leave and go off with Cash, and the previews show what a mistake it was. Love this show. The
commercial where they say can't get enough Riggins? I always say no, can't get enough.. And I can totally do without Lyla. lol. She wasn't on and I
didn't miss her.

Exclusive: 'Friday Night Lights' close to scoring a renewal?Mar 10, 2009, 11:45 AM | by Michael Ausiello Categories: Friday Night Lights
Sources confirm to me exclusively that NBC is engaged in active talks with DirecTV to extend their unique shared-window experiment with Friday Night Lights. But there's a catch -- and it's a good one. According to an insider close to the negotiations, DTV and NBC might only seal the deal if they can get - holy Connie Britton Taylor! -- a two-season pickup. Though a spokesperson for NBC Universal declined to comment, a Peacock insider acknowledges that the studio is "actively looking at ways to keep FNL going." Another NBC source adds, "We're very optimistic a deal will be worked out." The one possible complication? The show's behind-the-scenes quarterback, Jason Katims, is attached to NBC's buzzy Parenthood pilot. If it's picked up, he would either do double duty or be forced to make a choice. Similarly, the show's go-to director, Jeffrey Reiner, is helming NBC's Trauma pilot. FNL might be able to carry on without one of its MVPs, but both? Hmm… But maybe it's too soon to be wringing our hands over changes to the lineup. Once we have a pickup under our belt, then we can worry about such things. And while we wait for the official word, let's show NBC and DirecTV what a wise decision they would be making by keeping FNL alive by sounding off below. |

A two-season pickup would be great. This show has rebounded spectacularly from season 2's missteps. It's easy to talk a lot of shit about NBC these
days, but I have to appreciate the fact that on any of the other major networks FNL would not have made it to season 3. Granted NBC may not have as many
options as it used to, but still.

damn, how did I miss this yesterday?
I hope that they would give it 22 episodes. I hate this 13 show bs. The show deserves the full schedule. |

Great News! I have been rewatching the shows on NBC and they are as emotionally touching in the rewatching as they were the first time I watched them on
DirecTV. I actually cried when Smash went to tell Coach that he had gotten the walk-on gig. Coach and Mrs. Coach are way, way underrated as actors. It
doesn't feel like I am watching scripted television when they are on the screen. They could be any of a number of married couples that I know and it is
just so effortless. Matt and Landry are exceptional as well. And I am a sap and love Tim, Tyra and Buddy as well. I really hope that they make this happen.
Next year could be very interesting in light of what happens at the end of this season - so many different avenues to pursue and directions they could go,
although the graduating seniors would be missed. Woo Hoo - finally a show I like may be staying on the air!

Bump for tonight's episode. Another good one, but with only 50 seconds left and their D only giving up seven points the whole game, there is no way that
Coach would go for it on 4th and 7 in lousy field position. That aside, Coach and Mrs. Coach were the stars, and their interaction was terrific. "I love
hotel bathrobes!"
