Even if he did get a bite of some sort, I can see this asshole exaggerating the effects for attention. He could have lost
the weight on purpose and the cane could just be for show. |

Hopefully he doesn't get bitten by any sort of arthropod because 1. That wouldn't really be fair to the poor animal just out looking for a meal; and 2.
That wouldn't really be fair to the other players who should have the opportunity to beat him.
he is SO lacking in self-awareness and what an overbearing, overrated, untalented douchebag he actually is that I almost want to pity himI am intrigued by the contrast between Randy and Ben. Obviously, both were edited into the characters we saw on the show, but I am sure they gave the editors plenty to work with. Randy was gross and mean to people, but somehow, for Susie and for many of us watching, that created an impression that RL Randy was broken, and we were sad about that, and we hoped that somehow he could get whole again. Ben, similarly, is at a stage in his life when most sentient beings have managed to get some clues. He apparently hasn't, which surely can't be working out well for him, yet somehow we don't have the least little bit of sympathy. Maybe we don't actually want RL Ben to die, but as long as he isn't coaching our kid's soccer team, we sure don't care what he does, as long as we don't have to watch it or hear about it. |

Well if it is a scorpion then the Tityus is the only really dangerous one in Brazil. It's bite will cause systemic complications and can be lethal to
children. Scorpions generally hibernate during hot, dry times. I know that it is hot there but in light of the rain we've seen this could be the culprit.

I REALLY hope that Coach isn't removed from the game due to medical reasons! For one, I don't wish that on anyone. For two, it takes away from the
drama of he being blindsided.
But it is almost being forced in our faces that he will be blindsided so maybe it is meant to be a surprise. Let's hope he's okay. Now, off the subject of Coach for a moment. Has anyone considered that there may be a final 2 of ERINN & SIERRA? Think about it, their stories, and the complexities of their edits. And if it's a final 3, a final 3 of ERINN, SIERRA, and TYSON? (Taj and Brenden having been booted as the Kenny/Crystal kind of pair?) With all the talk of these 3, it kinda makes sense to me. |

Post v. Pre-merge Medical boots | ||
|
So Jeff says that there were THREE medivacs this season. One has already transpired - Jerry. And PROBABLY they'll be at least one pre-jury. The problem is
if there is a serious medivac POST merge, it's gonna effect the size of the jury and whether there's a Final Two or a Final Three.
IF for the sake of argument, it IS Coach and he goes AFTER the jury is formed, to keep the jury at an odd number, say seven, it's then a final two. OR if they start forming the jury at 11, a final three could still happen. I've always wanted them to BRING BACK the last pre-jury bootee from their vacation-of-a-lifetime-or-whatever, to fill the jury seat left vacant by Coach. IF it is Coach, which it certainly is beginning to seem that he is the one. His edit is really screwy, and unusual to say the least. It doesn't have the dimension that Randy had. Or Jonathan Penner... Also, FWIW, Coach just popped up in EW's Oscar Edition on the Pop Culture Bullseye on their last page, and yes, Coach was on it. "Survivor" blowhard Coach"...is how he was described... That's accurate...But it's been a coon's age since the EW mag itself featured ANYthing about a Survivor season or castaway this early in the season. Of course, online, they do. But it certainly is re-affirming that Coach is the break-out character of the season so far. GAG ME!*vomit emoticon* |

A few seasons ago there was someone removed post-merge for medical reasons. I can't remember his name but he had intestinal blockage or something. He was
in the hospital for some time and may have missed one or two TC's but didn't they bring him back for the final TC?

Before you freak out AGAIN about the medical shit Orangeena, use your fucking brain.
Lex/Lindsey both got medical treatment in Africa during the season but it didn't make the episodes. Also Spencer already had medics show up to look at his finger. Mention four medical interventions does NOT mean four medical evacuations. 2 already have occurred and Jerry got voted off, but Spencer sure as hell didn't disappear. |

So Jeff says that there were THREE medivacs this season
FYI...I saw that Ellen show where Jiffy noted that there were multiple medivacs....I got the impression that most, if not all of them, involved the crew! He specifically said that a camera man was bitten by one of those snakes, in fact, I think that he mentioned most of the medivacs were for snakes. Everyone in the end, is okay... |

^ One of the medivacs was before the show started too, if I recall correctly. And Spencer was that player's alternate.

I think right now, the best endgame edits belong to Sierra, Brendan, Erinn, JT, Stephen and Taj. There's always the possibility of an UTR person sneaking
in there like Debbie or Joe, but I think Joe is slated as a pre-merge boot. I'm still unsure about Tyson, he's either pre-merge or semi-late game.
I think our winner is one of the three I listed above from Timbira: Sierra, Brendan or Erinn, with a slight chance of Stephen as well. The good thing about this season is that you can't rule out too many people yet, but I think these four are the ones to watch at this point. |

Unless they're giving us a Yul/Earl winner, it's way too early for Brendan to be getting this much of an edit and fanbase.
Unless they're totally not trying to hide the winner this season, Brendan won't win. |

I don't see Taj as the winner either, whoever mentioned the Crystal/Kenny like edit and subsequent boot position, was bang on IMHO. I could see a Sierra, Stephen, Erinn F3 but it is a bit early to make those sorts of pronouncements. Who knows how it will shake out and we really don't have any definite spoilers. |

However if the Brenden / Taj alliance has to navigate some tricky situations then it is possible we are seeing a winners edit. It is rare for a early
alliance that seems like a sure thing go to the end and win however has everyone forgotten Romber? They had an open alliance almost from day one. Almost the
entire season was focused on the Romber strategy, how everyone knew of the alliance and how nobody stopped it.... the result Amber wins.

I do think that Brendan and Taj's edit have been very similar, Brendan and Taj both were UTR in the 1st episode and then had a spike in the last 2 eps. If
they were the F2, I wouldn't be surprised if the editors are purposely giving them similar edits to make it suspenseful. but there are some differences
between Taj and Brendan in terms of their edit.
Taj 1. She is shown to have been outed as being wealthy and not needing the money, while from interviews from some Timbria members Brendan eventually out himself as well but it has not been shown. 2.The exile alliance has been more from Taj POV then Brendans, we understand why Taj made this cross tribal alliance. We don't really know why Brendan made an alliance Taj. Brendan 1.His wealth has been known to the tribe but the editors decided not to show that, and it probably means it doesn't affect him in the long run. 2. He's is shown to be not in control of his tribe but not an outsider either, sort of like a silent leader type. If they were the F2 Taj has more doubt and going into the F2 the viewers would think she loses more so than Brendan. I don't know if they will make it to the end together but I do think they will make it pretty far and help shape who the F2 are. |

I never really thought of or took seriously the whole notion that Brenden and Taj could be the final 2. It's interesting and there have been f2 alliances
that have made it til the end.
Dunno though-there's still that perfectly forced edit of Sierra's whereas she really could have been left alone, considering her boring personality so far. |

Crzypunk2004 wrote: [regarding Brenden] "2. He's is shown to be not in control of his tribe but not an outsider either, sort of like a silent leader

He hasn't been shown to us to be the "leader" but at the last TC he was seen by at least some of the tribe as the person who should be or was perceived as the tribe leader (much to the chagrin of Coach). As to the "control" part well we know that Coach's team was targeting Erinn. So who led the switching of the votes to Jerry? I can't believe that it was Coach because he was so OTT on Erinn. (remember his "evil" Erinn imitation that he was showing Tyson and his comment that he couldn't stand to even look at Erinn? Not the comments of someone who is ready to jump over and boot a perceived alliance member at the drop of a hat. Although I must concede that Jerry may have requested to be voted out and that simply was not shown to us. Still there had to be something major to sway Coach.) I am speculating that the producers have not aired Brenden's moves or strategies or his impact on tribal decisions preferring to focus instead on his cross-tribal alliance with Taj. Regardless, I can see both Brenden and Taj getting edits that would be worthy of a winner's edit. Maybe their game is played so well that if the producers tried to "hide" it, we wouldn't be shown any footage of Taj or Brenden until episode 10 or the finals? LOL I am loving this season though. Can't wait for the next episode. |
