We concluded that it's because she already knew Daniel was alive and was going to contact her via Des. Kind of like how she knew the guy wearing the red shoes was going to get crushed under a pile of bricks. |

WiscBadger95 wrote:Maybe it was meant to parallel the shock of the audience when that connection was revealed.... Everything supporting that theory had been fitting together so well that when I saw that part, I didn't even realize that it had not yet been confirmed. It is weird though. Desmond seems to be able to control the past/present/future, and she seems to know it. Like you mentioned, she knew matter-of-factly exactly what would happen to the guy with the red shoes, but the most emotion we've seen her have was at the jewelry store when she told Desmond what he HAD to do (like it wasn't certain and she needed to convince him). I was more confused by Desmond's reaction. Like someone said earlier, I was expecting a good ol' Swan-Hatch-esque, "YOU." |

OT recruiter wrote: She was in "Flashes Before Your Eyes." When Desmond used the fail safe key on the hatch he went back in time. He went to a jewerly store to buy a ring for Penny. She told him he wasn't suppose to buy the ring and that pushing the button was actually the greatest thing he would ever do. The episode was actually in season three. |

When I first heard Eloise's last name I gutted myself laughing as I was sure the next ep. would have her talking to her 'brother' - holder of the
Lucasian Chair of Mathematics at Cambridge - you know the wheelchair dude who wrote a brief history of TIME?
I thought maybe in an effort to add credibility to their concept they would through in Steve to totally confuse everyone with one of his theories, hey he's been on Simpsons and Star Trek ... why not? |

After Alpert broke through the wall and Eloise was going to go first, he knocked her out. He told Sayid and Jack that she was the Leader.
It makes me wonder how long her reign was. |

ItsMeDeb wrote:It can't be for much longer as she will be giving birth to Daniel soon and he didn't seem to have any memory of living on the island. So she must either leave soon or the two of them leave while he is still a baby. Maybe the bomb caused some problems for the Others and Charles uses the fact that she was involved with the incident to usurp power. |

^ And apparently Widmore decided staying on the island and becoming leader was more important than raising his kid.
