The only excitement came from the wind and a piece of wood. Compare it to these classics: TAR1: "Lennnnnnnnnny"; Guidos abandoning their alliance after one episode TAR2: Blake's wallet loss; epic competitive FF; Blake's wacky metal-detector scheme; Tara/Wil + Boston alliance is born TAR4: Reichen threatening to beat everyone up; Kelly/Jon sliding down a hill without a sled; saddest early elimination evah TAR5: "MINE KEEP HAVING SEX"; "Maybe you have to put your hand up the cow's ass" etc etc TAR6: Viking Games; Don stealing Adam/Rebecca's car; Adam threatening to throw himself in front of a train TAR7: Lynn/Alex fight a whole market; footrace to the finish; Romber run a leg without massive amounts of help from the locals TAR8: Civil War re-enactment (best task of the season) TAR10: Peter's hynik; car-breakdown craziness TAR11: "I NEED A STEPSTOOL" + other Mirna-insanity; Kevin/Drew sneakiness TAR12: "You have boogers in your bones!"; Don in his underwear TAR13: Tina stopping the plane; Terence/Sarah's taxi-ineptitude TAR3 and TAR9's weren't highlights, but they still had better highlights than this (formation of the TwinHunt; Fran's terrible waterfall climb; Lake standing on his car)

The pie/cake thing was really a waste of food, and I can imagine what the Germans had to say afterward. It should have been a something cultural. Beer drinking would have been fun. I love this show, but last night was a bore.

If it wasn't for the wind conditions screwing up the hangliding Roadblock, there wouldn't have been any drama at all. Plus, I hate to say it, but I agree with the redheads re: the Detour. Isn't one of the main selling points of Segways that you can't fall off of them? Why in the world would anyone opt for a "needle in the haystack" task when the other options was so simple?

Scratch that. I thought the whole entire leg was made up in the last minute.

Epic 14 hour race! Pie throwing was hilarious, Segways were ok but way easy, the "Miracle" which allowed Mel/Mike to get second, Mel/Mike trying to scale the door lol, paragliding, Cletus's wife LOST, the Flight Attendants trying to cut their own wood gave me lawls, the worst team was eliminated which was nice, sorry I think this was a worthy episode in TAR history.

Posts: 8008 (02/23/09 4:13 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Epic 14 hour race! That's not especially epic, ya know. Any leg less than a day is pretty short. In an extreme example, the Guidos took 55+ hours to complete Leg 6 of TAR11.

The pie throwing was great, as was Linda completely missing the arrow despite it being a clear fork in the road and not thinking for a second that they would be a marker in the most obvious place. And the flight attendents taking a piece of wood and running through the finish line of the segway detour.
