I really think Mickey Rourke lost because
1) the WWE spectacle turned off the Academy and people felt Rourke getting a nom was recognition enough for him sort of getting his life and career back together 2) lots of voters who gave Slumdog the best picture award thought Milk was the second best film so they gave Penn an Oscar as sort of a consolation prize for Milk |

I've never once seen Sean Penn do anything that I liked. Worst actor in Hollywood. He never lets you forget that he's Sean Penn, acting, rather than
the character that he is portraying.

I was glad to see Sean Penn win Best Actor. He is damn good, he's got that screwed up mind and personality that makes a good actor.
Mickey got his pat on the back by being nominated and winning the Golden Globes. Brad was just in a novel movie and wasn't really in it as himself for a lot of the movie. Slum Dog didn't really deserve all those wins. Only a rare few movies should take every award. |

John Legend (Stephens) sucks. If a billygoat singing sharp all the time is your thing, then he's your man. I sure would rather have heard Peter Gabriel.

Beyonce is the belle of the ball this year, so I totally see her doing something. I didn't like the whole performance at all...too choppy and hard to follow. |

If people hate him, then why did he winGoing out on a limb here. I fucking hate Sean Penn, he is an egotistical blow hard and I disagree with every political stance he has taken. He is also a wife beater and very mean to old people and dogs. Get it? I hate him in every way. He deserved to win. He is a great actor and he did a great job as Harvey Milk. I think the theme of the movie may get used by both sides as a reason for the win but the man did a great job. I hate him soo much |
