What I thought was more amazing is that they both knew she was bad with directions and she admitted as to how stupid she was. They were just awful, I bet you
they even get lost when they go to their local Klan meetings.

I think that definitely, had Steve/Linda not come in last they would have had a penalty. Hitchhiking is a big big NO NO on the race if I remember correctly! It
comes down to safety reasons. Remember how Jen/Nate couldn't take the offered ride up the hill because of this rule? I believe this is also the same rule
that gave Tom/Terry a penalty in season 10.
I would have loved to see Steve/Linda come in 9th, get a penalty, and then Christie/Jodi come running in to eliminate the hicks. Better yet, my boyfriend was saying he would have loved to see Phil tell Steve/Linda they have a penalty, and that he couldn't eliminate them until after they waited out the penalty.

I believe this is also the same rule that gave Tom/Terry a penalty in season 10.The mopeds were off-limits "for safety reasons" (which was kinda bullshit - if it was the same as the Nate/Jen and they had no way to go back, they'd have gotten an extra penalty for time gained and Duke/Lauren would have survived). |
