This is a great season. Coach and Mrs. Coach demonstrate yet again they are the sexiest couple in TV history, Smash gets a superb send-off, and we get to see that Janine Turner's thighs are a bit starboard of slim. Did anyone think that Tyra would NOT go for the cowboy? I think one of the great subplots of this show is how people like Tyra talk and talk about trying to leave that damn small town they grew up in, but keep doing things like gravitating to the guy in the black hat who is one bad rodeo ride away from working at the local speedee mart for the rest of his life, while 4.3 GPA Landry, who'll probably end up as a reasonably wealthy suburban dad somewhere is left by the wayside. Tyra, you sweet idiot - if she was really intent on leaving Dillon she'd glom onto Landry like a crazed chick from the 50s who discovers that a young med student has the hots for her. He's her ticket, and she is too self-destructive to realize it. Great TV.
And the dig Mrs.Coach got in at the Jumbo Tron (2 words!!) ceremony at Garrity - he's hosting the PTA silent auction! Mr. Principal had a smirk at that, and even Garrity seemed to have an expression of: touche.
