Does anyone consider it unusual that the Others were in possession of the Jughead bomb? The scaffold made it look like a test setup and not a dropped dud.
Given the secrecy concerning thermonuclear weapons, especially during the Cold War, I would expect the US to have fought a World War 2 level engagement to
recover it. Could the Others really withstand such a battle?
Another confusing issue for me. If the Island moved in time, where did it go? It is one thing for people to move in time. They are small enough that they could just show up on the Island, or elsewhere on the earth, and physically fit in. The Island has been part of the Earth for a geologic time period. If it moved in time, how would it fit on top of the Island already there at that time? If it kept its location with respect to the orbiting Earth then at the different time it would seem that it would end up in hard vacuum separated from the Earth, now in a different place in its orbital path.
