More challenge air time -- cut all the boring gab at Tribal (probst's "inquisitions").

It's been a pretty good season. I just hope the powershifts happen as often as it did in Gabon or Pearl Islands.

I tend to be optimistic at the start of all new seasons but Tocantins is going great! I'm getting similar vibes to the start of Exile Island. It will be
interesting to see if people come out a bit more, otherwise it could make for a snooze fest. And screw the fact that Coachebag's ego is bigger than the
entire planet. Having people like him on the show makes it worth watching.

I dunno this episode was kind of boring except for that badass challenge. Didn't really care who left out of the 2 ladies but if it was Coach vs. Candance
with Coach getting booted it would have been the best second episode ever!
Still the fact that there may be no Pagonging for fucking once makes this a fun season so far. |

I like that they are showing a bit more camp life. I agree that everything about this episode was enjoyable-- Sierra lying about building a fire pit, Brendan
going along with her and Debbie being so oblivious just made me smile. And the whole Taj being married to Eddie George thing... wow. What an idiot to tell them
that for absolutely no reason.

Really enjoying this season so far...some comparisons that stuck out to me:
Timbira: Debbie = Tina from Australia (pretty invisible in episode 1, some screen time in ep 2, back ground but def in the mix - she seems to be in a lot of the group shots) Coach = Joel from Micronesia (trying to take the early leadership position, but is annoying everyone) Brendan = Ryno from Pearl Islands (kind of bland and boring, but a presence on the show) Jerry = haven't quite figured him out yet...could be a Rodger from Australia or a Sarge from Vanuatu Tyson = Kind of reminding me of Ethan from Africa or Adam from Cook Islands (likeable, threatening, more of a follower than a leader strategically) Erinn = Courtney from China (though I don't see her lasting as long...she might be the sheep thats dragged along) Sierra = Kind of reminds me of Tanya from Thailand cus of the sick thing, but maybe a Christa from PI (though not as likeable. Still figuring her out. Seems like shes kind of strategic, but not too strong) Jalapao: Sandy = Kathy from Marquesas (rough start, but maybe a great story arc with redemption and succeeds) Stephen = Rob C from Amazon (funny, quirky, maybe not as strategic yet) Spencer = Little bit of China Amanda/Todd, Erik from Microniesa, but smarter (young excited to play, big fan) Taj = Cirie (not just cus she's black, she's fiesty and def thinking strategically - also in a tough spot early on) Joe = Nick from Panama (invisible athlete...probably middle of the pack, strong but a big threat, no real strategic game) JT = Bobby Jon (Southern boy, strong athlete, will be a big threat, not quite as crazy as BJ though) Sydney = Jacquie 2.0, likke Panama Misty (I hope she become more of an Amanda from China...I want her to be strategic so badly) |

It's been pretty enjoyable so far.
The 1 challenge thing probably wont last much longer since exile island kind of demands 2 challenges per episode. |

S3AfricaFan wrote:X Sierra/Brendan alliance is simply amazing to watch. Debbie is an idiot. And Taj's move was bad, but maybe not in hindsight. She will be recognized eventually, so not a bad idea to sort of tell them she's married to NFL guy, and let them figure it out on their own, like she did |

I think Gabon was more entertaining, but this season appears to be more consistent, there's two much more equal tribes, and this is probably one of the
most down to Earth casts in a very long time.

Great so far, really liking most of the cast, and even those I don't like are interesting at least.

This is really turning out to be a good season. I agree, at least every character has at least one confessional (I'm pretty sure) and it's still open
as to what tribe will take control and who will take control. Lots of character development and epic challenges! Love it!
