Are you going to be together on Christmas day or eve? Meeting any family? What about the dinner arrangements? When is the gift exchange?

Hung around with her part of Christmas day. Later she was having a family dinner and I'm not ready to be hanging out with the family just yet, so I went to
my family dinner.
I ended up getting her a cream coloured cashmere glove/scarf/hat combo. She loved it. In the card I also gave her a visit to a day spa for two people. Told her she could take her sister because they are tight and she helped with us getting together. She didn't know what to get me (hah) so she got me a gift card from an electronics place. She said I have so much stuff that it's best that I pick. So I went and got (bluesboi will love this)... ROCK BAND 1 & 2!  Everytime I play a song, I'll think of her (and bluesboi  ).
For New Years Eve I have tickets for a concert/dance that has a couple of good bands. This is starting to feel weird, diarizing everything for everyone to see. Starting to seem wrong. |

OK. People have asked for an update, so I'll give what I can.
We are still dating. Keyword "dating". Doesn't feel like a real relationship because her job takes her away for a week(s) at a time, and when she's back she has tons to do here and time is at a premium. So it's good, but not great. What compounds it is the reason I broke up with my previous girlfriend. She wanted to take a huge job opportunity on the west coast, but didn't take it because of our relationship. A year later she was offered the same opportunity. I encouraged her to take it because it was ridiculously cool. So she did, and we tried to make it work and it was just too frustrating for both of us. So we agreed to break up, but see where it is when she eventually returns. So this feels like deja vu all over again. Way too much information. |
