there isn't much suspense either as if a band performs, you pretty much know it won

I can't believe people thought that Radiohead guy was good, he sounded horrible. He sounded so horrible my mother and my sister even called to tell me how
horrible he sounded.

Know how I know the Grammy's are gay? ... Coldplay beat Metallica!
It was hilarious though, when I stopped to think about it. Neil fucking Diamond rocked the HOUSE! |

I love when they trot out those old fossils to have one more go at it during these award shows.

bitwrangler wrote: Older artists always win at the Grammys, because older people vote. They try to nominate current artists and have them perform to trick you into watching, but in the end, the oldies will win. This is why I didn't watch the Grammy's. I turned on right as they were handing out the Pop Collaboration award. As soon as I saw the nominees, I knew it would be the old fogies. And it was. |

I'm pretty sure he's selling out shows still...and not going to Prison like T.I, or slapping up women like Chris Brown. C'mon boy...admit he was good. A lot better than some of the shit on there last night. Oh and much love for Paul w/ FooFighters! (is he grasping too, GeRu?) |

I actually thought it was a pretty good show. The Robert Plant/Alison Krauss album is great, but its by no means the best album of the year, and it's not
an inspired choice.
Poor Adele. By winning Best New Artist, this assures we'll probably never hear from her again. |

What are you, 56? Plant/Krauss sucks shit and is just Plantys excuse to not reform the greatest band ever. Plus their fucking and thats gross.

She has one of those voices that's easy to get tired of quickly.

You're talking about Adele, not Alison Kraus, right?
I got tired of Adele's voice after about three notes. Same with that other chick nominated for Best New Artist ----- Jazmine somebody. Alison Kraus has won 26 Grammys, more than any female in history, and third most of anyone, man or woman. |

Not surprised that Metallica took the Best Metal Performance award, considering that the only other decent nominee on the list was a so-so Judas Priest song.
I've been curious for a while about the Plant/Krauss thing, but haven't heard a single song from it. I might check it out eventually. I have a feeling that I might be setting my standards too high if I expect every song to sound like "Battle of Evermore". Incidentally, was Phil Collins up for anything this time around? Has there been any Disney flicks lately in which he supplied a soundtrack full of fruity ballads? Seems like that guy can win a Grammy for hitting "Record" and farting into a mic.
