With addicts you have to have a stronger hand. You have to play along with them to see if they are going to get help or not. It is not a short recovery road. It doesn't happen overnight. I've been in a battle with my sister who still resorts to getting high!

Update from tmz.com:
UPDATE: 6:22 PM ET Steven's people say he was arrested because he hadn't finished his community service in the time frame given by the judge. They say Adler went to register as a drug offender -- also court ordered -- on the 26th, when cops acted on the arrest warrant stemming from the unfinished community service. He was charged with "being under the influence of a controlled substance" because that was the original charge from his July arrest. Steven's people want to make it clear he was not under the influence of drugs. |

If drug offenders in California have to register, wouldn't 90% of Hollywood be on that registry?
I wonder if it's part of his court ordered conditions? He might be on some sort of special Drug Offender probation or summat. |

This is what has me confused about this report as well, McWolcott and CAPSattack. I thought he was ordered to 1 year inpatient, just as Jessica Sierra was
(who just got her 1-year chip, according to Dr. Drew). If Adler was out of rehab, then he probably violated the original order which was 1 year inpatient, and
not some B.S. about community service. Did he walk out of rehab again? I am going to try to find out more.

It says right up there that it was because he didn't show up for community service, so technically he was arrested on the original charges, but was not
actually high.

Being in inpatient rehab doesn't mean you're locked up 24/7. It just means you're in a residential treatment facility. Just because he was
arrested doesn't mean he wasn't in rehab.
He went to register as a drug offender and they obviously ran a warrant check on him. When they ran the warrant check, they found one had been issued because he failed to do his community service from his LAST arrest. It would come up as an arrest for drug possession because that was what the original conviction was for. |

Amber is so pretty. She's never going to make it though. She should have left that party the second hockey boy ditched her. Did anyone else get the feeling that she was blaming Mary and Niki for her relapse? She said more than once that if the girls were with her, she wouldn't have drank.
