Yeah I'd rather have a non-celeb version (twist free) than another "Who has the richest celeb friends" competition.

I would love a new one also...especially in this job climate it would be a nice little twist if they have 18 people who were fired from big banks and places
like that.

I'd love a non-celebrity Apprentice comeback! One thing I hated about last season is that Trump was way too nice with the contestants, like the time that
Vinnie wanted to quit and he didn't say a single bad thing about him (and actually said he understood Vinnie's reason

In fairness to Trump | ||

other than Michelle being attractive she brought nothing to the table in terms of confessionals. Vinnie, on the other hand, was the star of one of the most
entertaining 2 hour apprentice episodes ever.

People we've never heard of versus these celebrities? What's the difference?

well, i like the real apprentice, not "celebrity." but outside of my personal preference, this is just stupid timing on donald's part.
he could be giving a real person a job instead of showcasing a bunch of "celebrities" throwing their money and their friends' money around. this is being really deaf to the economy and where a lot of viewers are right now. |

Oh, 6 SUCKED!!! With the tent bullshit, LA being a poor sub for NYC and the stupid White Trash Firing! Not to mention being devoid of both George AND
Caroline for the first time!!!

I do agree, the tent part of season 6 was not a very good idea (and it in retrospect sounded like something
NBC-Universal Chairman Jeff Zucker "strongly suggested" to Mr. Trump and Mark Burnett, at least in my opinion), but that season still was good
overall.
I very much like the idea of having 27 (operating in three teams of nine at the beginning) candidates who lost their jobs in the current financial crisis make up a new season of the regular version, with a new twist at the very beginning: The team that finishes third in the first task sees their entire team being "fired" with no boardroom, going to 18 candidates in episode two with the winning project manager then getting to chose the eight people (s)he wants to fill that team and the other team consisting entirely of who is not chosen. Also, another twist I would have with the interviews near the end: They are conducted by Rebecca and either Jim Cramer or Erin Burnett of CNBC (the latter two did the interviews in the first celeb version). That would be a major irony in that Rebecca would be doing the interviews when Randal never did such. |

6 was weak as hell even outside the tents. The entire show from F6 on stopped making sense of any kind. Three teams of two, F4 for the final task, a winner
that was never even a PM? And let's not forget the white trash firing and quitting that season actually being a badge of fucking honor. Just an
all-around horrible season.
I will agree that 4 is the best, though. Mass firings, a nice mix of competence and ineptitude, and the best winner in Apprentice history (suck it, Rebecca fans). |

1 > 7 > 4 > 2 (I used to think it was awful but I actually think I remember more moments from this season than any of the others) > 5 (for Lenny
and Bryce) > 3 > 6
As much as I liked the first celebrity season, I really do hope we go back to the original format. The Apprentice in itself is pretty much a one-trick pony, but with celebrities the strategy is just "Call some rich friends to help out." It was fun last time because the show had descended into such a sorry state before that it was begging for a celebrity season. Trump and the producers should have used that as a way to get all the goofiness out of their systems and then fired up season 8 with a competent, competitive cast of regular folks. The first and fourth seasons were the best because they had several contestants who were legitimate candidates for the job, and Trump treated it as legitimately as a reality show could. When he keeps the quirky contestants around for the sake of "entertainment" the show suffers. |

Mega64 wrote:Stefanie never got a chance to be PM because of the rules used in S6 and the fact that the team rules were as such that Stefanie wound up having to yield to others in that role, but she clearly proved to be best in the end. Had it been any other season, she would have been PM at least a couple of times in all likelyhood. I believe the reason season six went as it did at the end was because I believe originally, there was supposed to be another task after Renuzit, the kind of tasks that have always been a part of the show other than that season. As filming of the Renuzit task took place July 7-8, 2006 (a Friday and Saturday), the original likely scenario was this: One team was to be "fired" following the Las Vegas task (which took place July 5-6, 2006). Depending on whether or not there were originally going to be interviews after the Renuzit task (which would likely have been Sunday, July 9), the final tasks likely were originally supposed to be tied to after parties from the ESPY Awards, which is the sports version of the Oscars that in 2006 took place on July 12, the day following Major League Baseball's All-Star Game (though it doesn't actually air on ESPN until the following Sunday night) at the Kodak Theater in LA. What likely happened, however, was very late in filming (and most likely during the Las Vegas task), the Walt Disney Company (which through ESPN owns the ESPY Awards) found out that the was to be filming for The Apprentice on such after parties, and in turn likely told the organizers of such parties that they could not be used as tasks for a show airing on another network outlet, and thus those were likely cancelled with no backups available on very short notice. It is quite possible this was not relayed to Mr. Trump until after he had already "fired" the two from the Las Vegas task, necessitating what happened with the Renuzit task that wound up being the final task instead. Also, the one task during season six where one team was split into two while the other had a bye was likely necessitated because the third task that season I believe was originally supposed to be for an online poker company, but was squelched likely by NBC and if so likely by NBC on likely orders from the NFL (which is hypersensitive about associating with any show whatsoever that involves any kind of gambling, which is why NBC was not even allowed by the NFL to promote it fictional series Las Vegas during Sunday Night NFL telecasts). As for Season 4, Randal clearly deserved to win that season from the get-go, and that season has worked out very nicely for both Randal and Rebecca in the end. Rebecca in particular I think is doing exactly what she really wanted to be doing with her life at this point. |

I still liked Season 2 the best...they knew how to play the game, but the product placement and stupid twists hadn't taken over yet. Plus there was that
adorable blonde guy with great suits...

2 was the best with me, 1 was nearly as good. 2 was my first reality show ever, so it certainly holds a memorable spot in my memory. 3, 4 and 5 were all fairly
good too. 6 is where it really collapsed with the tents, move to LA, no final task, horrible PM rules, worst winner ever, etc... -_-
