the one at the end - I rewound a couple of times to get a good look - I thought is was one of the students during the serial killer lecture, but I could be
wrong. It looked like the one who asked the girl out for coffee.

^ ^ I didn't see who the victim was either. I thought the significant part was that he had 10 stab wounds indicating he's the 10th victim. Since the
serial killer is in jail, I think the CSI team is trying to figure out if it's a copycat or an accomplice.
I guess we won't find out until the show comes back on Jan. 15th. |

There was a guest actor in the last CSI who usually plays a psycho in just about everything he's in (he's a recurring character on IT'S ALWAYS
SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA). He was one of the students. I'm pretty sure it's him.

Did anyone watch last night? I thought it was pretty boring.. I give the show one or two more seasons and it will be toast.. But I doubt I will be watching
it.. Its not going to be the same without Grissom.. The ending was predictable, a ER moment..

I love how quickly the camera moved away from Harrison and Fox kissing. That kiss had all the fire of room-temperature milk.

^ um did you mean Peterson and Fox? :s
Personally, I liked the ending for the character of Grissom. I like to think that he got away from the madness and gets to play with his beloved creatures (including Sara in that ;) |

I just watched it -- not a bad coda to the Grissom era.
But the key to solving it was to look at sight lines off a computer link-up? Meh. Too bad the serial killer didn't see that the imprisoned chick in fact did get away. I drift in and out out CSI land, still being pissed awf about how stupid the miniature killer eps panned out, but if you've got to replace William Peterson, then Laurence Fishburne is NOT a bad choice. |

anyone watching last night? Good to see Nick(ie) shared Grissom's office with the others. Gross on eating the fly (where the fuck did that come from)?? I
felt Morpheus was a little out of place. I wanted him to be smarter at - I dunno - lifting fingerprints. I guess this is a good way for CSI to explain things
to the public (again) on gathering evidence. Maybe if we learn with this Livingston character then he will become
endeared to us?

I watched.. That was sweet of Nick to share the office.. The eppy was better than I thought it would be.. I like how the writers are making it a tough time
for the Fishbourne character to fit in.. Makes it more real life like.. Hodges (I think his name is) was being a jerk at first, I thought..

I'm glad they're bring in Fishburne as a novice who needs to learn the ropes. It lends itself to more storyline possibilities than if they had brought
in some super hotshot who waltzed in and took over. I'm digging his nerdiness too.

Fishburne was good. I like his clumsiness and vulnerabilty. The crime was boring, though.
Still gonna miss Grissom and the moodiness he brought. |

It was a decent episode. Now I'm just wondering where they can possibly go from here. Pretty much all of their longtime, ongoing storylines have
disappeared. No more Grissom and Sara, no more misbehaving Warrick. Who will they try and kill off in the season finale this year? Of all the vet
characters, the only one who really has never been in any kind of mortal danger cliffhanger, to my knowledge, is Catherine. Correct me if I'm wrong,
though. Anyway, I hope they develop this Lauren? character. She only seems to pop up periodically, and when she does, she's a bitch.

I also liked Fishburne.
It works that he's a vulnerable rookie, especially considering the two large-egoed leads on the other CSIs. I never liked Caruso and Sinise's character is just too moody to be likeable. |

All 3 of them are so completely different - Caruso is a fucking joke - I like the Original, love the Original, but also love NY, been a Sinise fans for years, but I could do without Kanakardes........NY and LV can't be compared. |

I think they're developing the Fishburne character just right. He's a very bright man, perhaps even brilliant, but quiet and bookish and not up to
snuff regarding the subtleties of nitty-gritty detective and CSI work. This gives the writers opportunities to explain stuff to him AND us (but with the
assumption that we're pretty bright too, lest they be talking down to the new good doctor) and at the same time allow Fishburne to occasionally display a
smart and nimble mind. The fact that he was cast against type is also cool. That dude's got acting chops.
And when the section of skin sloughed off the burn victim it was a great puke moment. Glad he managed to hold it in. IMO this isn't nearly as bad as exchanging Fleischman for Capra (in Northern Exposure). They made the new doc different enough that the writers have something to work with for a while. |
