I know, definitely a creepy episode with an awesome twist. Much better than the Benders (the other episode where HUMANS! are the evil) Also, self-hating Dean
= wonderful to me.

Yes, it WAS scary. I hate rats and had to look away every time they were in view. Ick, ick ick. So, the girl that hung herself was the twins' mother and
the grandfather hid them away in the house? Creepy. Uncle Ted looked familiar but I can't place where I've seen him before.
The boy was too old. At his age, he'd know that a stranger shouldn't be hiding out in their home instead of all 'Yeah, let's play ball". Great, scary episode. It creeped me out when her gross, dirty foot crossed over the salt. |

This was a good episode.
It was really fucked up what their grandfather did to them. He deserved to be killed. I'm still glad that Dean is opening up about his time in hell. |

So glad the show is back, this ep was good, the girl gave me the creeps. Seriously though, if these kids basically raised themselves in the walls where did
they learn how to write? When would they have seen tires, much less know to slash them?
The family should ask for a refund from the home inspector, he was obviously not very thorough. |

I don't know if this was addressed on the show or not but where do hunters get their money from? I mean do the people they help pay them? It would be kind
of awkward asking for money from someone who was just traumatized by a ghost or whatever. Plus most of the people they help don't even know they're
being help. So where are they getting money for food, gas, motels etc. from?

In an early episode, Dean won money playing cards or maybe it was shooting pool.

Am I the only one that hated last nights episode? It was so boring and stupid. Come on, the 'ghost' turns out to be human and the cops who I assume where involved since a brutal murder was committed didn't find the killers even though they were in the SAME house. Must have been Salem PD on the case. The acting was terrible all around. Sam just stood around most of the episode. I was hoping for some real supernatural storylines, you know the 66 seals, Lilith or even a real ghost haunting. Humans/savages blah boring. And I've had enough of Dean whining about hell. You're out now, get over it bitch. |

Um his time in Hell is the underlying story and part of the overall mythology of the fucking show and gee! He had to kill people. He isn't whining, you
asshats, he's telling bits and pieces of what he did while he was down there.
Fuck. You guys are way too sensey about a few lines here and there. This was a kick ass episode. |

You guys are way too sensey about a few lines here and there.Seriously, Dean is a tragic hero whose whole identity prior to going to Hell was built in two things. 1) Saving people from "Evil Sons of Bitches" and 2) Protected Sammy. That was who he was. And, in Hell, he had to give up BOTH. He couldn't protect Sammy from hell and he started hurting people when his entire life was devoted to saving them. Um, he's dealing pretty fucking well with this. So, give him a break. I dunno if you guys would prefer it if he started dating a deceased ex-lover or something and the riveting human emotion that brings about, like on Grey's Anatomy, but this is an awesome storyline. They just need to get Sam OUT of the background and into the forefront of it. |

I'm not bothered by the Dean introspection, either. The guy suffered some serious trauma at the hnads of Alister, who's to blame him for not being his
prior funboy?
But I thought that ep sucked. As soon as the family piled out of the SUV, I thought "doggie gets killed first, then the uncle." And the uncle dying in a lameass "didn't have the flashlight pointed in the right direction" chestnut? Awful. It was a compressed bad '50s slasher flick, and beneath the consistent terrific quality of this show. Fortuantely, it's more or less a standalone. The rat chomping sequence was seriously disturbing though, so kudos to the SN producers for that. |

see, i liked the slasher aspect. The brother was overkill but her being human was seriously fucked up.
It kinda reminded me of that XFiles episode, Home (I think it was called) with that seriously sick family of mutants. And Dean admitting that he liked what he did in Hell actually surprised me. I like the way they are slowly revealing just what he went through. I prefer the episodes that deal with the series mythology. I miss the angels |

After finding out what the girl had to endure, all the torture and everything, I actually wanted her to live and... and... and... I don't know... get
help and rehabilitated?

SurvivorArctic wrote:The thought I had there was that let's face it, most people who wind up there deserve to be there. I doubt too many virtuous Winchester types show up. So maybe he wound up liking beating up douchebags -- vampire apologists, witches who summoned up some demon, ghosts who'd been slaughtering innocent living people, etc. Deano has a hardcore moral compass, after all. |

dankb wrote:See my problem was that as soon as the doggie was introduced, I knew it'd be dead soon. I hate that kind of plot. Similar thinking on the poor girl. What was the Jodie Foster flick -- Nell or something? Kind of hard to go from chomping live rats to a pot roast, I'd think. Still, the boys definitely have no hesitation in killing humans that have gone seriously evil. The ep with the psycho rednecks keeping their prey in cages comes to mind. Now that I think about it, there's a lot of Texas Chainsaw Massacre mythology permeating the show. Even with this ep. |
