Unduli, how many siblings do you have? I was told that after someone turns 18, or whenever the first wisdom tooth emerges, you can automatically add six months to the duration of an adult wearing braces.
I didn't get them before I graduated college because my parents didn't have the money to cover my two sisters and myself when we were younger (so my sisters got the braces), nor did I want to have to deal with an orthodontist or dentist 2,000 miles away from the primary policy holders of my parents' insurance companies while I went to school in California. The one time I did have to use a dentist in college in California it cost me $290 as opposed to back in Texas where it cost me $85, even though I technically was "covered" under my parents' plans. So I just waited until I had my own insurance and income to cover it. Besides, I'm not that old, rS.
