Landon was always called Little Joe, and Swayze calls his penis Little Joe. It's really ironic when you take the time to think about it.

That sucks. You know he won't be able to fight pneumonia with his jacked up inners. I wonder if he'll still sneak out for a smoke break every once in
awhile.

He looked like shit on the Babawawa special. I only saw a youtube clip, but it was hard to watch. It's too bad, he seems like a decent guy and a few
of his movies are good. Mock all you want, but who didn't love Dirty Dancing back in the 80's? I'll still watch it if I catch it on tv. And
while Ghost is essentially unwatchable now, it was pretty good when it first came out too.

I had 2 dear friends of mine pass away from Pancreatic cancer. One was 42 years old with a wife and 3 children. He decided to have surgery, radiation and
chemo, he lived, in a coma, for about 1 month after his diagnosis. He never smoked.
My other friend was 67 years old and decided she was not going to have any treatment because she wanted to die on her own terms and wanted to have time with her kids and grand kids. She also died about 1 month after her diagnosis. She smoked til the day she died. I really do think it is one of the scariest things to go through. I would imagine that it would be one of the hardest decisions in one's life to make, whether or not to be treated for it. It seems, for the most part, to be a no win situation. Very sad, I feel for Patrick Swayze and his family and the decisions they have had to make. |

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Patrick Swayze, the "Dirty Dancing" star who is battling pancreatic cancer, has been released from a weeklong stay at a
hospital where he was treated for pneumonia, People magazine reported on Friday.
Swayze, 56, was hospitalized in Los Angeles on January 9, hours before he was scheduled to appear at a gathering of television critics to promote his new TV crime drama, "The Beast," which premiered on the A&E cable network on Thursday. The actor stars as a rogue FBI undercover agent. "I am happy to announce that Patrick Swayze is home after a brief hospitalization for pneumonia," his spokeswoman, Annett Wolf, told People in a report published on the magazine's website. The report added he was resting with his wife, Tawny Kitaen AKA Lisa, 52. There were no further details. His representative could not immediately be reached for comment. Swayze, diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, after an anal sex romp with her, told Barbara Walters of ABC News in a TV interview broadcast on January 7 that he was "going through hell" and might have only two years to live. But he denied reports he was near death. The American Cancer Society says the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer patients is about 5 percent. The majority of patients die within six months. Swayze is known around the world for his role as the dance instructor in 1987's coming-of-age movie "Dirty Dancing," which inspired hit stage shows in London, Australia and Canada. Among his other movie credits was the popular 1990 supernatural romance "Ghost," co-starring Demi Moore. |
