In ASS, the winners were larger thjan life - strategic, or likeable, or controversial. Losing them early took the spark away from the season. But who really
is dying to see Chris, Aras, or Earl play again and last a long time? Seasons S10-S14 brought us fairly generic alpha male winners.
All 4th placers from F3 seasons would give us Sundra, Denise, and Matty .... eww.
Often players who got pagonged are great to bring back. They lost because they were on weaker or unlucky tribes, and never got to show their strategy in an endgame. Parvati won it all, and Boston Rob, JLew, and Steph were interesting players and strategic forces when they returned. Candice, PG, Corinne, and Randy are in this category too.
Say, all 3rd place finishers from the early seasons and the 4th place finishers from the latest ones (with 3 finalists). Don't include 2nd place people. The 2nd place people already had a chance before a jury and many of them are goats dragged to the end.Amanda and Ozzy confirmed my intuition that people who have lost once in front of a jury are unlikely to win in an ASS. Maybe they suck in front of a jury (Amanda), or are unstrategic challenge whores (Ozzy, Colby), or betrayed so many before that nobody will trust them (Rob M).
