Guess who drove me home from work last night? The COO of the hospital. Funny thing was, he lives in bothell as well, and I knew I recognized him, but figured
it was just from seeing him at the hospital. But it turns out I knew him from working on some school fundraising things. Weird. Small world. Good think I
didn't launch into one of my rants about how the hospital is run while at said school function.

Shit it looks like air travel is getting back to normal. And I was so looking forward to Swedish Pancakes for breakfast!!! Pray for more snow. I am such a good
person helping those stranded hot foreign people!

Well, we are getting dumped on again, but shockingly, I don't have to work. My son made it home from Bellinham yesterday before this latest storm hit
(idiot even stopped at the mall on his way). We are making it around town with chains on our car.
I'm making my husband go out and take some pics shortly. |

That's a beautiful pic nololos.
I posted this in the other thread, but here's the scene from my backyard this morning. The snow is so much more beautiful if you don't have to drive.

we got about two feet of snow in the past two weeks. we are so unprepared for snow (as we usually get like 6 inches max) so there are no plows. my street is
fairly narrow, and the build up of snow on each side has rendered it completely one way at the moment. if two cars in opposing directions are approaching each
other, one car has to reverse until they find a driveway to pull into so the other car can pass.
i've come to the conclusion that the only people who enjoy snow are people who don't have to go places. |

I've been hearing reports from the NWS that we may get up to 3 inches of snow in places again tonight and tomorrow.
Damn it, here we go again. |

We've had 3 inches of rain over the past 24 hours in Portland -- this is about double amount of an ordinary heavy rainfall.
There's gonna be some big flooding, landslides and trees-a-falling very soon. This could actually be worse than last week's snow and ice. |
