So wait...you're saying that by using what already happens on the current show, which you've expressed disdain for, for the ENTIRE game, rather than just half of it...that makes things...better?
He shows disdain for the tribal stage only. He likes the post-merge, and so wants to keep that portion and extend it to the whole game.
And AnomyBC, one of the fundamental aspects of Artie's system is that the challenges will vary heavily, catering to different strengths at different occasions. This lessens the chances of non-immune physical beasts being voted off, because physicality will not give an advantage at many challenges. Challenges involving mental strength and survival skill will likely give different winners.
1. The problem with that logic is that Artiee's problem with the current system is the fact that the weak gang up on the strong and vote them out. However, this happens FAR MORE after the merge when there is no benefit for the weak to keep the strong around and plenty of benefit for the strong to keep the weak around, whereas in the tribal portion of the game, there is a far greater benefit to boot the weak and keep the strong, which is exactly what Artiee's system is supposed to make happen. By removing tribes, the competition lessens and weaker players have a much better chance of surviving.
2. Regardless of challenges, physically fit, young players, usually men, are always going to be targetted as threats to win immunity. Just look at Matty this season. He had one of the losingest challenge records, yet he was described as one of the biggest threats in the game, purely because he was a young, athletic male. This was written about in the "The Psychology of Survivor" book. People always target the alpha males, even though it's under-the-radar women like Susie and Sugar that go far. And that's exactly what would happen under the Artiee's system from day one.
