Posts: 100 (12/14/08 10:31 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The weird thing to me is that it seems as if The Beginning-Kelly's Boot, Ace/Dan's Boot-Corrine's Boot, and Crystal's Boot-The End were all edited completely differently. I originally thought the difference between the first and last halves was intentional, but now it just seems like sloppy editing. It's like they started editing before they knew how anything would play out.

Also I said the whole first half of Survivor did not make sense to me if someone from Fang won. I said Corinne or Bob must win for a few weeks then changed my mind because of posts here, and here it is Bob winning! I saw Bob stand out from the beginning, just like Danni. And yes, I said the whole season might be how Sugar (and Ken) lost, not how Bob (or Matty) wins. Now I see others saying it, I just wanted to say I said it quite a while ago, but was not sure of it since others here convinced me of a Ken win after Marcus left. I know a few others mentioned it also (Bob winning like Danni), I am not bragging at all since I changed my mind often after reading posts here. I think theme needs to be looked at, not just numbers. Also, the Onions did mean something as I thought, they decided who won Survivor and it was one of their own believe it or not! I also said anything could happen this season after the Marcus blind side, they made Marcus look like the winner, he left, they hid Bob until the end and showed others as possible winners....and we were blind sided by a Bob win! I think when strange things like perfect edit Marcus leaving before merge happens, look for a surprise at the end. I know others have said the same things as I did, I'm glad it wasn't just me!

I said recently her husband had a stroke on their delayed honeymoon. She's putting on a great face that it will be at least a 3 month recovery but I think she knows it looks really bad and it all came out and there's nothing anyone can really say to help, and I just can't focus after a long talk with her. I can't escape in Edgic right now so I'll try catching up here tomorrow night. I haven't seen the reunion, I just watched the outcome and as a show, I loved it, and as always, look at what was said at Final TC and the entire season was clearly. Take care all. Hold you loved ones tight. As if anyone bashes anyone here, just tell them to bash me personally since I won't be here tonight and won't care regardless. Best. Michael

Posts: 2344 (12/14/08 10:38 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	A few random musings: one rule that still holds is the strong first episode - of the F3, Bob had by far the strongest episode (of course he then proceeded to be ignored the next 7 episodes ...) look at the F3: 2 people playing UTR-follower games, and one playing, well, lets be charitable and call it an emotional game. Maybe the "weakest" F3 ever, and no real opportunity for the editing to make any of them great strategists. You have a jury that for the most part looked down on them, which factored into both the entertainment aspect of the show (Corinne / Randy vs Sugar) and the way they ultimately voted. Will have to ponder Ken's edit (within 5 minutes of the final episode I knew he was toast) - still seems to be a lot of time spent on a fifth place finisher (eg why the boat scene at the merge, or why the termite eating scene in Ep 1 with Michelle). Also, why so much Onions early on, or was there no interesting Bob footage before the merge?

Although helicopter shots seem to be important.

I also don't want this "in retrospect" shit that Bob's win was obvious. Do I need to review with you guys? You all pretty much unanimously agreed that Marcus was winning after the first episode. Case closed no questions asked. Then after his boot you guys shifted your prediction to Kenny, with an off chance of Matty. Guess what? None of them were final 3. So what does that mean for edgic? You guys fucking FAILED. Also, the dubbed "f3 goat" was one vote away from winning. One word that sums up edgic this is, SUCKAGE. Anybody find it odd that the ONE season we don't have spoilers in like forever, that everything is suddenly "so unpredictable" or brilliantly hid by the editing team? Then when the spoiling community receives a spoiler of a Bob/Susie/Sugar final 3, we suddenly have people predicting he was going to win when not a SINGLE PERSON predicted that prior. My guess is if we didn't have spoilers, none of you mofos would have predicted the majority of winners, if any at all. Good night and good ridance. Lock this forum up plz. A quiet guy who played a laid back game and did minimal strategizing, went up against a coattail rider and an outgoing but unpopular player in the final 3...and won. Some situations edgic just can't account for.

One can't call that a victory if the person later decided he was eliminated or dropped from winner contention! GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSES. WE ALL FAILED. I did, you did, everyone did. Even Kitty did, even though she picked Bob it was very very recent. She still did it, but she failed like we all did. I NEVER want to hear anyone, EVER, criticize someone for winner picks again. Most of you guys who do so have no idea what you're doing anymore. Who the fuck cares if I pick Cassie or Corinne? It's now the same thing as you picking Marcus or Kenny. They all lost. EDGIC FAILED. 100%.

Maybe with some changes to the guidelines those players may still be alive edgically, but I think there will always be 2 or 3 others who will have more a "typical" winners edit by that point and the Danni and Bob's will be ignored. I think maybe Edgic could pinpoint it by the final 7 or so if all the bigger characters have really odd edits that dont feel right (like Kenny and Matty did) but I just cant imagine any season where a player like Bob or Danni will fit the edgic profile the best by the merger.
