Crap.... he's up against Hugh Laurie and House again. What a tough category!

And Mad Men...which is a huge show even though it doesn't personally do anything for me.
Also against True Blood which has gotten stellar ratings and reviews for a new show. Still, the fact that it gets nom'd EVERY year makes me very happy. |

This has to be Michael C. Hall's year to get it. If he goes another year without the win, I will personally hunt down the voters and kill them myself.

I bet Dex erased the message on LaGuerta's answering machine as soon as Miguel succumbed to the needle. No need to leave traces of his serial killing behind. Why would she be dead? Miguel came there looking for her. As far as her absence, who's to say Dex didn't needle her too. Congrats on the nomination, but I don't put much stock in whether he wins or not. I think he's amazing, but not going to get emotionally invested in a political system like awards shows. :P |

This is the year that Micheal wins it, it was a weak year for John Hamm and a weak season for House
Best Series - Mad Men Best Actor - Micheal C Hall, Dexter - rather then credit it with best series they will give it to the title character Best Actress - January Jones, Mad Men |

So he we are on a board called Survivor Sucks on a weekend that pits a Survivor Finale directly against a Dexter Finale.
What are going to watch live? For me, Survivor, although this is the first time ever that I've had to even decide. And that's not so much that Surivor might be slipping (this season hasn't been too bad) but that Dexter is really really good. |

I'll watch Dexter live, then log on to the website for his after finale interview, then watch Survivor.

I'm thinking (and of course hoping) this will be Dexter's year at the Globes.
Of the 5 Best Drama nominees, only "Dexter" and "Mad Men" were nominated at the Producers Guild Awards. Same goes for the Writers Guild, except "Dexter" was the only one of the two nominated for Dramatic Series AND Episodic Drama. Hopefully they don't award Mad Men two years in a row. As for actor, hopefully Hall can defeat Hamm. Is Laurie really a contender? I thought "House" had a very weak year. |

I will be perfectly pleased as punch if either Dexter or Mad Men win. A little of me hopes for Jon Hamm because he didn't get to give a speech last year
due to the strike, and he lost the Emmy. However Michael C Hall has NEVER won anything and he's way too overdue.

Laurie is ALWAYS a contender because it's the Hollywood FOREIGN press.
I have high hopes for Dex and True Blood...maybe just wishful thinking. |

Best lines of the night:
God, it sounds like I'm marrying a unicorn. I know that look. I've had that look. We all have secrets. In that way I'm like everyone else...sorta. OHMAHGAH when Dex dropped King in front of the police car. DAMN! Great finale. |

I couldn't care less about SURVIVOR if I tried, so it was DEXTER, all the way live.
I think MAD MEN has been fantastic, but MCH and DEXTER should get the awards. HOUSE has sucked for the better part of the year and while I like Hugh Laurie as an actor, what he's been doing for HOUSE doesn't even compare to what MCH and Hamm have been doing. Not even close. You knew that DEXTER was going to survive, so I wasn't bothered by the ending which wasn't terribly neat. I suspected that talking would lead to Dexter getting out of The Skinner's trap, but if they had a CSI MIAMI crossover, then they could show those twits discovering that the Skinner's death wasn't due to being hit by a car and dragged. Nice touch that Dexter's cover story was the one that Miguel and his brother used about their father (falling down the stairs). A little disappointed that we didn't get confirmation or denial that the youngest Prado was the original avenging angel. |

Demented Daddy Dexter.
Bravo. What a perfect ending with the drops of blood dripping down Rita's dress from his cast. It was fantastic. His scenes with Ramon and George King were excellent. |
