The problem that the onions have with Crystal and Sugar (mainly those two) is how they held themselves for most of the game. All of the post show interviews, along with the recent episodes, have basically shown Sugar as a little kid. I think it was Charlie who said that Sugar complained way too much (its been a while since I read the interviews...). It's things like the fake idol trick, which are completely unnecessary, that cause such dislike. The fake idol wasn't even part of the game, it literally accomplished nothing from a gameplay perspective. It was purely mean-spirited.



I think what Marcus is most peeved about is how Crystal "brought" in the outside influence of her cousin and then used that to mess with him and lie to him. Yes, he made the mistake of trusting her because of a relative, but it was still a pretty underhanded trick, even for survivor (not that I disagree with it, I love underhanded and deceptive gameplay, but Crystal must have known that using that or bringing that up would then have consequences outside the game. If she didn't realize this, it was very shortsighted of her).

And with the whole "Charlie is such a follower, grow some balls" thing. The problem here is that his impression of Crystal, based on his interaction with her, is completely and utterly negative. He willingly acknowledges that Corrine, Marcus, and Randy are being immature, but these are his friends. He made real connections with these people (especially Marcus, but let's not go there...), and he also spent a lot of time with Corrine apparently (to the point that nobody realized that Marcus was his #1 ally, they all thought it was Corrine), and Randy called Charlie "[his] first gay friend." Why would Charlie throw away three established friendships that seem to be working fine because he doesn't want to give them time to cool down because Crystal treated them badly, or at least they (Corrine, Randy, and Marcus) think so. So he might gain a few friends in Ken and Crystal? His first impression of Crystal was not a good one at all, and there was the whole "fag" ordeal w/ Ken that was cut. This does not seem like the rational thing to do here. So he acts a little immature for a while, big fucking deal, at least he has friends whom he knows he likes already.

Fake idol, maybe I am wrong but didn't Sugar do that after Randy started to act like he was burning down the camp? Randy seems like a curmudgeon and does not strike me as having great social skills with anyone, but better ones with men than women.


About her cousin, I don't know if my memory is wrong but I remember it as Marcus making the connection that he knows her cousin AND he thinking he should give her a break. I do not remember Crystal as trying to use that as an excuse so she does not go. And bottomline, why would Marcus think she would give up any arrangements she already had for him just because he offered her one round. He was way too cocky and assured that he and "his people" had it in the bag. It was his own fault for not being able to separate real life from the game. He made the advance not her, unless I really have warped my memory of that episode.


The thing with Charlie not having the balls to face his friends and say 'Ok you can do that but I cannot do that, it is not in my nature to behave that way.' If they were true friends they would not hold it against you for your not agreeing lock step with them. He should realize his 'so-called' friends are less worthy of being his friends if they would break with him for his not following their bitter lead.

Marcus you may reap what you sow but then what exactly did you sow based on what you reaped? A little self examination might be in order for you.

Very dumb of Marcus. His childish anger at Crystal really seems petty sour grapes based on his being the victim of his own failed plan.
