WHAT IS THE BEST REFRIGERATOR? |

So my icebox is broke and I'm like "we need to replace it" and my S.O. is like "we need to get a Sub-Zero" and I'm like
"aren't Sub-Zero's sooooooooooo 90sies?" What should I do?

What should you do?
How about the inevitable? |

The best way to find a really good one is for you to climb inside and shut the door. Forever.

I looked at that one but I like my ice maker/water in the door.

they have them with it in the door - I just wanted one w/o that

CBR, I want one like that, but I shan't be getting one. The current one should have a few more years on it. (I hope I didn't just jinx it.)

a few months ago, i got a french door with ice/water in the door. like it a lot.
mine has one freezer drawer, not 2. the 2 seemed too small. i like the big bin. this is an lg, and so far, so good. last one was a jennair, and was crap. before that, i don't remember the brand. before that, a frigidaire and was crap. |

I thought the one bin would have me digging more for stuff - I like the drawers
one thing you really have to watch on even the one drawers is the size of the drawer - some looked from the ougside like they'd be big, but weren't. |

I have a 25 cu. ft. side by side with the ice and water in the door and I like it a lot, but I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't have a second fridge
in the garage. Otherwise I would go with CBR's model.

I have the second fridge too, but I would have bought a side by side if they had a large one w/o the ice/water thingie in the door

Yeah. Mines nice and wide. Those smaller side by sides can't fit jack shit in em.

I know what you shouldn't get...a Kenmore Elite that's similar to the GE up there ^ I love the style, but it's been repaired 3 times in 2
years...piece of crap. I'd never get another side by side either...freezer is much too small. Look up the complaints on Sub Zero...not worth the $$$$.

Okay you people. How do you people with "side by sides" and "drawer freezer" and what not pour your drinks? Or where do you keep your hard
booze?? I keep the rum, vodka, and gin in my freezer...which is on TOP of the fridge just as God intended. It gives me a nice little shelf space, at just the
right height, where I pop my ice cubes into the glass and pour out some nice and frosty booze. You just can't do it like that with a bottom or side
freezer. And if you pour warm booze onto the ice cubes well they're going to melt hella quick and you'll be left with watery booze and no friends
because you serve watery booze and nobody likes that. This is why I will always have a TOP freezer.

CBR's freezer looks reaaally nice. I have a similar one except it's a subzero so naturally it cost a lot more for refrigerating the same damn milk.
We built our house three years ago and were sucked in by the 'you'll need it for resale mantra' they give you. I don't regret the granite or
the Wolf five-burner stovetop but the sz is vastly overrated and overpriced.

if you use the freezer a lot, that makes sense, but it's nice not having to bend over for the vegetable bins
and if you have the in the door ice maker, you don't need a shelf to pop ice cubes. however, the top drawer of the freezer has a nice wide edge that could serve as a shelf |
