Man sues over uncircumcised claim
John Singer, 49, said in his suit against the Central Europe Center For Research & Documentation -- a group focused on Jewish history and culture -- that he was circumcised as an infant, in accordance with Jewish tradition, the New York Daily News reported Monday.
The center quoted Singer's mother, Maryanna, as saying in an interview for a 2005 article appearing on the group's Web site, Centropa.org, that her two sons were uncircumcised.
However, Singer's lawyer, Michael Borrelli, said the mother denies ever making the statement and Singer had notified the group of the error before the article was published.
"Centropa.org and its editorial staff have violated my right to privacy of the most intimate part of my anatomy," Singer said. "They have caused me tremendous emotional pain and suffering. I feel humiliated and betrayed. and will have less anal sex because of it"
Centropa officials declined to comment on the suit, the newspaper said.
