About a year and a half ago to visit my friend that just had a baby.
Last time I was in a hospital as a patient was February 14, 1991 following a car accident in which I broke my knee and dislocated both my shoulders. |

What went wrong GNG? You should not have been in there for 4 days.
And snowboarders only, I am the ENT coordinator at my work and am doing a tympanomastoidectomy in the morning! Little more involved/complex then your's, but pretty similar. Well, a maybe a lot more involved. But a tympanoplasty is also done during the procedure. A lot of my days are filled with tonsils/noses/ears. For me is was last month, I had a heart "procedure" done. Kinda surgery, but they didn't have to crack my chest open or anything. |

Today. I work in one.
Four years ago I was scoped in both ends. They did the stomach first, then the ass. It wasn't the same scope. |

It was a much nicer stay then 20 years ago when I had my back surgery.Ugh, you think? The beds are so uncomfortable I left the hospital early every time. Let's see...I took my son to get stitches in September, and last time I was there was the birth of the last kid - 6/07. |

I work in one, so I'm there every day. Last time as a guest, last month when I stayed with my mom for five days following her bypass surgery. As a patient
almost four years ago after kid #3.

The last time I was in the hospital was last January, when I fell unconscious in the middle of a class and my students had to rush me to the hospital. I had no
idea what happened, and five minutes after I regained consciousness I couldn't even remember who I was.

Do you remember who you are now? Are you back in work now too? Or did someone lie to you and tell you who you are and you really believe that's who you
are, but it's really not who you are?

Oh good, these are things to think about. :)
..I don't want to know what happens to us when we are unconscious or put to sleep (not to death, well death too) when we are in the hospital. |

June. I was hit by a car!!
I don't think I've ever been to the hospital for something non-emergency. |

CRA - It's good that you got to spend years with him, well into your own adulthood. Both mine died well before I was born.
Jammies - Tough row you've got to hoe, there - quite a tough row. Give it hell! For myself, it was 25 years ago, when my appendix was removed. The Dr. was shocked that it hadn't ruptured prior to our making it to the hospital, it was so bad. On a goooooood note, though - they couldn't give me any pain medication until the test results were available, so the pain got progressively worse for me during the wait, so bad that I was hallucinating, seeing kaleidoscopes of colors... until finally - "Yep, it's his appendix", whereupon they shot me up with morphine. Oh, hell yeah.
