You know what would be tight? If they revealed that Sylar killing Candice was all an illusion and Candice/Michelle came back!!!

This week's NC-rant:
So why was Meredith even in this season? Why was she in that STUPID puppet master episode....and then in the flashback that just so happened to take place in the same area that the train wreck happened in season 1 (when Claire first became a hero). What was the point of it? She hasn't been seen since. It was character buildup for someone that's not even an important character, and meanwhile, we know next to nothing about most of the other cast. This season has been so stupid, it's like a retcon of itself!!! First, they make Sylar good and make Claire badass. Then they immediately change everything back. Sylar is now evil again (still not clear as to why he suddenly became bad), and Claire is back to her normal whiney self. Hiro is now trapped in the past AGAIN! How did Peter get from Haiti to the US in the same amount of time that it took Nathan to literally fly there?! Why did Claire have to be there with Hiro to get his memories back? How did Hiro know where to go to get Claire in order to go back in time?! HE HAD NO MEMORIES!!!! Why did Noah, the biggest skeptic on the show, just take stranger-Claire's word not to answer the phone? Why was Arthur hyped up as the main villain....only to be killed by a bullet? How are we to believe that everyone was "given" their powers when the powers just manifested during the last eclipse, yet we're being told that the Company has been giving powers for years. Why was Elle brought back after Angela fired her, only to get involved in a crappy 2-parter and then she's BURNED after her death so as to add insult to injury??? Why did Sylar kill her anyway? He already had her powers!!!!!!! How did ANYONE know that Isaac gave that guy a sketchbook, and how did anyone know that the sketchbook held pages that revealed the whereabouts of Hiro and the future? No one was around when Isaac gave the book to that guy. Why did Hiro see Japan blowing up at the beginning of the season.....and then they've not mentioned it again at all? If Matt/Daphne/Ando knew that everyone is in danger...why didn't they go to help, instead of running to a comic book store???? Why did the Hatian's powers go away during his fight with Arthur? It's never been mentioned before that his power drain could be stopped. I also love how he simply turned away and walked away. If Arthur already had the time traveling powers from Peter, why didn't he just use them and go and get the catalyst from Hiro's mom, instead of waiting around until this season unraveled into a knotted ball of shit twine??? Why was Adam hyped up to be this eternal villain, only to br brought back from the casket and then IMMEDIATELY killed by Arthur??? Why spend 2 seasons bringing an end to the Nikki/Jessica crap, only to kill her - AND THEN BRING HER BACK AS A SECRET THIRD SISTER THE VERY NEXT SEASON!!!! Why is this show a total steaming pile of shit after the awesomeness of the first season?? The first season was like 20 episodes long and the story was good THROUGHOUT!!!! The past 2 seasons are SHIT. Pure SHIT!!!!! ...and now Claire will not have her powers (although I'm sure she'll have them without explanation), everyone will fight Sylar - but he'll survive, and basically you would be able to completely skip this season and go immediately to season 4 and it will make just as much sense. NOTHING MAKES SENSE!!!!! If someone can explain every single thing above, then I'll shut up - but alas, you can't. It's like the writers write the scenes and stories out of order....and then they do not check to see if they make sense when they put them all together. I am SO pissed! This show was so awesome and now it pisses me the fuck off!!! >: |

I ain't gonna argue with you, NC; though many will find reasons to say you are just a hater and cannot see the brilliance and just want season one back
(and why would we want season one back) and yada lee da. There is only so much suspension of disbelief most of us can take. It all boils down to this, for
me: If a story cannot hold to its own logic, it just falls apart. Last year, I think the producers figured that because this is Sci-Fi, they could play loose
and people would not care so much. But please... you can't FORCE people to try to make sense of things on their own.

Why wouldn't Claire have her powers? Hiro's mom had powers, but also had the catalyst (for some reason). Claire had her powers naturally, but she
would have been given the catalyst from Hiro's mom. Instead, Hiro's mom gave Hiro the catalyst. Both Hiro and Claire still have their normal powers
(except Hiro, whose powers were just stolen).
I'm getting kind of annoyed by how Arthur keeps (kept) showing up magically at the right place and the right time. I know he had Peter/Hiro's time/space travel ability, but did he also somehow get Molly's power to determine where people are? |

I agree with most of what NIGHTCRAWLER said. I watched this season up until 2 weeks ago with a lot of optimism, even forgiving a lot of the gaping plot holes
in season 2. For me this show officially and completely reached the point of no return during the 2 eclipse shows. I couldn't suspend my disbelief that a
solar eclipse could last so long over such a wide area, I just couldn't. Tonight's show had some promise. I liked the scenes in the past until Arthur
suddenly showed up out of nowhere to get the far fetched premise of a "catalyst". What a load of garbage this show has turned into. I wish it
wasn't so.

Just wanted to ask...did Sylar pull that can of lighter fluid and matches out of his ass or does he always travel with them? Yeah, it's nitpicking, but
with this craphole show whothefuck cares?

i actually enjoyed this episode, maybe it's just cos the previous two were crap.
even with time travelling, it didnt seem as retarded as it previously did. The SovereignOne wrote:yeah, that's the thing i hate about sylar. he kills off many characters with cool powers, even if he doesnt use them/take them (eden, candice, lie detector girl)

I was pretty stoked about Hiro being the catalyst because it put his character in a different, more mature direction, only to have it taken away a minute
later. I hate this show.

I lawled at the catalyst being all glowy and shit. I mean, okay, we're watching a show about people with POWERS but STILL.
And I kinda liked the emotional Hiro-mommy scene. And Hiro's mom is a MILF. So is young Sandra. |

It just pisses me off that every season also has the same "basic" plot. The world is going to be destroyed...Hiro jumps around time/space on some
retarded adventure...Peter sulks...Claire whines...Nathan is shoved down our throats as a major player yet never does anything of importance...Sylar steals
power after power and then never uses them...everyone stops whatever it was that's going to destroy the planet...lather, rinse, repeat.

highwind44029 wrote: I totally agree. Hiro's scenes with his mother were so compelling. I was actually enjoying Heroes during that part. The guy that plays Hiro can act. If they would give him more material like this, his character would be so much better. Why can't the writers realize the key to any great show is character development. Gimicks like time travel and super powers can only do so much. I'm at the point where I absolutely dread seeing Sylar on the screen. It's obvious they don't know what to do with him. They must flip a coin before they write an episode: tails = evil, heads = good. I also agree with the poster who mentioned the guy who tried to get away from Matt, Daphne, and Ando. It was so stupid to have them stand there while the guy sneaks away. It was painful to watch because it was so obvious what was going to happened. The writers treat us like we're that dumb just so they can have a guy crash on a bike. Yeah, that was worth insulting my intelligence so I could see that incredibly, awesome crash. |

glad someone said this-i was like WTF?? yeah.....stupid Hiro.....can't hold on to the formula.......can't hold onto the 'light'.....can't hold onto my interest....give Ando some powers and let's get on with him killing Hiro already. |
