14. Lightning McQueen (Cars)
Cars is definitely the worst film Pixar has put out so far (not that its bad by any means. As a Pixar movie, its still preferable to most CGI movies made by anyother company - save maybe Kung Fu Panda and the Shrek franchise). Both the plot and characters were a bit lackluster (except for Mater. I loved Mater. But I couldn't count him as a main character.) The worst thing about Cars is that the main character, Lightning "Ka-CHOW!" McQueen (and seriously, why does a race car have a last name?), is pretty much an unlikable jerk. Lightning is a cocky car who only thinks about himself. He is somewhat famous for winning a couple big races, but nothing that really supports his huge ego. He doesn't even have any real friends to invite to his big parties or anything. I guess you're supposed to feel sorry for him for that, but I didn't. Why would anyone want to be friends with him? I kind of think of him as a poor man's Kuzco, but while Kuzco is entertaining in his cockiness and me, me, me attitude, Lightning is not. Unlike Kuzco, he doesn't really get his comeupance for being an arrogant douchebag. The worst that happens to him is that he winds up in the small town of Radiator Springs where he is bored for awhile, but eventually learns to make friends with the small town cars there. Also, he's played by Owen Wilson and I've never been a fan of his.





13. Bob/Mr. Incredible (The Incredibles)
As far as superheroes go, you really can't get more generic than Mr. Incredible. His super powers are the generic super-strength variety, his real name is the generic "Bob" and his code-name, Mr. Incredible, while somewhat better than "Superman," isn't particularly creative either (yeah, I know Elastigirl isn't a super creative code name, but at least she has a pretty cool power.) The dude even looks pretty generic (although I do kind of like the costume.) All those things would be forgiven if Bob/Mr. Incredible had an interesting personality, but he's really fairly bland in that regard too and no where near as much fun as previous Pixar heroes. I guess maybe they were trying to go for a generic character type, but if so, they kind of over did it. Anyway, after the world's super heroes are driven into hiding, Bob and his family move into a nondescript town where Bob completes the dull job of insurance salesman where he acts completely depressed and lifeless most of the time. Bob spends a great deal of time re-living the glory days with his old pal, Frozone (who is more interesting in terms of code-name, power AND personality, btw) and wishing he was still a super hero. While he's busy with that, he pretty much neglects his family. Mr. Incredible's desire is so strong that he instantly falls into Syndrome's trap which leads his whole family to be in danger. So, in conclusion: not only is Mr. Incredible boring, he's also a jerk and pretty stupid too. That said, at least I liked the movie he was in.



12. Flick (A Bug's Life)
Of the Pixar films, A Bug's Life is probably my least favorite after Cars. I still like it, but compared to the others, its not very memorable to me. I don't dislike Flick. I think he's completely meh, actually, but in some ways, he can also be pretty annoying and stupid (though not as much as Dot. Bleh, I hated that brat.) Flick is a typical Disney hero who doesn't fit in. Unlike the rest of his ant colony, who work tirelessly for the good of the group (especially with the evil Hopper coming to steal their food soon. Am I the only one who thinks its hilarious that we're supposed to be threatened by a villain named "Hopper"?) he spends his time making silly inventions. The Queen and Princess think that Flick is just too much trouble so they send him away with the lie that they want him to find warrior bugs to help the colony fight the grasshoppers. Being a gullible dork, Flick believes them and miraculously does end up finding some warriors (who are actually circus performers, but who cares?) Anyway, he gets some points for bravely standing up to Hopper and of course for being an individual, but he's still annoying.

Maybe that's why they never made a sequel for Hercules.
