They were my faves by far this season. The Mom is always calm and cool and the guy is so respectful to his Mom. They were enjoyable to watch, unlike the other
teams. I think they made some poor choices as to who should do some of the tasks though and it hurt 'em in the end. The Stalin/Lenin task should have been
done by the Mom so they could have Dallas do the physical tasks that are surely to come in the finale.

Was it the begging for money that slowed them down so much? Or was it when they did not go by taxi and had to go back and get a taxi? I don't see where
they lost so much time.

I wanted to see how a mother & son team would work out on the race and it took 13 seasons to get one. I wondered if we still would've liked Susan &
Patrick if the Romber monster hadn't eaten their season.
I wasn't more impressed with Toni than I was this episode. She should've freaked, but Dallas is a nice guy and very good to his mother. There was no Lucille & Buster dynamic that I was fearful of seeing. Really, this was the only team that wasn't a poor copy of some past team. |

I was very disappointed with them. I really liked them but Ce la vie. It came down to Dallas losing the passports, money you can work your way to it. They
gave it a good run.

How did manage to lose your money and passport?
Dallas: I hopped out of the cab I was in to get into another cab. We were in that cab for about 20 or 30 minutes. After I went to pay that second cab, I finally realized that [the money and passport] were left in the first cab during the microphone exchange. Did you think you could get it back? Dallas: What I did was take that second cab back to a hotel that we stayed at on that last Pit Stop. I used the concierge service to get the taxi that I was going to then take later. I had got the money from some of the other Racers. [The plan was to] get a free taxi for a little bit, and then figure out the passport situation. Toni: I was just praying on the fact that I hoped somebody in Russia would return that passport and that taxi driver would turn it in knowing that he'd be at that hotel would turn it in there or the embassy. I was kind of banking on that. |
