Its just like how musicians make crummy second albums. The writers could have had the story for Season 1 in their minds all their lives. Making another hit
record/season...not so much.

I've heard that the show hired Battlestar Galactica's writer and the Sylar/Elle scene reminds me of the the Thigh/6 scenes earlier this season.

Yep, Mark Verheiden is a new writer to the show. He was hired back in September of last year as just a consulting producer, but he's writing now.
We'll get to see his first written episode in the next half of the season, episode fifteen. |

everything else though this season I love. I get Mohinder wanting to have a power. If I was some nerdy scientist and I thought I had a formula to give me a
power I would do it in a heartbeat.
The mistake the writers made was season 2. Season 2 sucked so bad that a good portion did not come back for Season 3. That is the case with all tv shows though. If the audience does not like something they quit watching. Season 2 was very poorly done. Peter in Ireland, Sylar In South America (where they never did show how the hell he got there, Micah in New Orleans, the underutilization of Nathan, Hiro in 1500s Japan, Ando just looking at his watch waiting for Hiro to return from Japan, The Maya and Aljeandro storyline. I mean who the hell thought those would be storylines people wanted to see? I understand we needed some of them but all of those made for a crap season. Nothing of interest really happened. Season 2 had adam monroe and elle and those were the only 2 good things about season 2. Some of season 2 was needed but most of it was crap. Nothing of great interest really happened. So when Season 3 started about 20 percent of the audience said no thanks I AM DONE. |
