Why did they show the scene with Kenny stuck in the outrigger on the upright stick in the water? To show he isn't as smart as he thinks he is?
Weren't you all saying, "Bring the boat closer to the stick so the high part of the outrigger goes over it!"?
It seemed a strange filler scene and must have a purpose, but I did not see a purpose last night. |

I actually called the boot right for once. Charlie will be happier at Ponderosa with Marcus than in the game without him. And this season completely
turned a corner for me in the last two episodes especially, but also the one before. Did they edit Fang to be as awful as possible so the turn around would be
more surprising?

Maybe I'm reading too much into the Kenny boat scene, but I basically saw the hinged boat as his game up until that point. He unhinged himself, and now
he is free and will prevail... It arguably was the most revealing scene of the season...

Did anyone else notice- after the reward challenge, two confessionals are shown... Randy and then Matty, back to back. Both of them were still complaining
about his own frustration with the other during the challenge. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but something seemed oddly poignant/important about
this moment. It seems like the editors are setting up some kind of Randy vs. Matty thing...

In any case, I think that Randy sticks around somehow next episode. I'm not sure how, though...Winning immunity would do it. ETA: The second Ponderosa video of Charlie is one of the funniest things I've seen on Survivor to date. 'Nuff said.

I really hope Randy does not stick around. We've seen his "antics" and Corinne is much more entertaining. To be honest, I want something to shake
up the Fang bunch and get Matty booted out. I'm absolutely disgusted by a majority of the people left, apart from Bob and Sugar- and their chances are
pretty grim.

I am amazed how the editors are really forcing edits that are not true to character in reading exit interviews and so forth.
Sugar apparently is not all that likeable yet she is shown beyond nice and sweet and not wanting to be nasty to anyone Randy is apparently Satan on the show but at least some members discussed that he actually is not as bad as it shows Bob apparently isn't da bomb the way he is shown to be, grant it, he isn't shown "playing the game" but Dan had some not so nice stuff about him, Charlie said he slept when they had meetings, someone else (maybe Dan again) said something about Bob being a bit snotty Marcus was not shown NEARLY as arrogant as the harsh words when he was leaving was said by Kenny and Crystal and Dan had some choice words about him also - there was a hint of it here and there but not to the level of how Kenny and Crystal talked about him. seems this season they are overly manipulating a lot of these "characters" |

Marcus was not shown NEARLY as arrogant as the harsh words when he was leaving was said by Kenny and Crystal and Dan had some choice words about him also - there was a hint of it here and there but not to the level of how Kenny and Crystal talked about him.The arrogance was on full display in his post-boot interviews. I think they wanted to pull a bait and switch with the audience (and were spectacularly successful) by giving him an Yul/Earl-style edit, misdirecting the audience into thinking they were going to be seeing yet another young male alliance leader winner. Ken vs. Sugar as our F2 (with Susie a very possible F3 "Becky") is my guess for our finals this year. They're hiding any negativity towards Sugar, instead presenting her as an underestimated sweetheart. Ken's getting Todd-like "overconfidence", but they are having to stretch it a bit. "I know I can win this game" is a totally different statement from "I know I will win this game" in terms of self-confidence. He seems to have really good relationships with a lot of players left in the game, and I think they may be leading the audience to expect a Sugar win but get a Ken win instead, much like how Amanda was edited to be a much scarier jury threat than she was in both China and FvF. Also, the two of them are being paired thematically in the show's promotion as the two big underdogs.

And the fact that both Ken and Sugar are still here in the game, after so many weeks of Fang just being this abysmal tribe and wittled down to near nothing of
what it was.
Crystal is interesting too because she has been showed as this abrasive, well, bitch, but is endearing at it. Unlike Randy, who comes off as a moron, Crystal seems to get the "woe is me" type of deal in this. Ever since Ken convinced Sugar to keep the idol for herself, I felt like the final three would be them. Susie can penetrate that, but has no shot at winning this game, but if it comes down to the three of them, it's going to be interesting to say the least, and I think it's real likely based on the edits thus far. |

I think that Matty wins. There were 6 contestants that gave confessionals during Probst's opening narrative in the first episode. Of those 6, only Matty,
Bob and Crystal are still left. Of those 3, I believe that only Matty can win. No one is going to let Bob make the finals and Crystal is too unpopular. If
Kota dominates the jury, then Matty will win out over any combination of Crystal/Ken/Susie/Sugar. If Fang dominates the jury, Matty will win easily if Randy
and Corinne are sitting next to him. I wouldn't find Matty to be a particularly satisfying winner but he could win a lot of the challenges and he seems to
get at least one 'this is a great experience' confessional every episode. Those confessionals could easily be omitted but since Matty doesn't
actively strategize, those confessionals are shown instead.

Why did the crumbling onion alliance target Crystal? She's not that much of a threat. They must know that Matty is more of a physical immunity threat.
Compare that with Fang... most of them hate Randy and Corinne but when Ken portrayed Charlie as the brains, they all agreed that Charlie had to go.
In the end it doesn't mean anything because they didn't target Sugar, but it does show that it wasn't a very well thought out decision. It shows they are playing with emotion rather than brains. |

Randy said he was writing Crystal names down. The other three had to vote for Randy or they wouldn't have gotten the votes to get anyone out.

Charlie's exit chat | ||
|
Well, since Trixie our fearless leader-ess brought up the exit chats just a few posts above, I guess it's OK to say here that Charlie basically spills the
beans on Penny(oops!) I mean Kenny's demise. He thinks he's got it all going on but "his lies will catch up with him." So says Charlie...
God! I hate this season. Why do I keep watching it? I think I'll stop. Jeff Probst's manipulation of the game has reached epic proportions with this one. So if Penny goes, could it be a Matty/Sugar/CrystDULL F3? If a Kota makes it, Bob, Corrine or NuKota Randy....they could win. I'd love to see them as a F3, but Charlie also goes on to say "the game is gonna get pretty predictable from now on." I think I'll go throw up on Kim J's husband. |

They're both surfer dudes, they both have a hardon for nature, and they even talk similarly. |

What beans has Charlie spilt? Kenny has said right out in the edit that he lies to people, it's no big shock that Charlie confirms that.
charlie in exit interviews: "oooh Kenny tells lieeeeeeeeeeeeees" Kenny on the show: "I'm lying to people" If it catches up with him in the jury vote, yeah so what? That is usually where peoples double dealings catch up with them, it wouldn't be anything new and it would be ruddy unusual for someone to NOT screw someone over to get to the final. I don't know why you hate the way it's going, Orange, the "same old same old" died when Marcus got turfed out on his arse, Charlie saying it's predictable is bollocks because the predictable outcome was Marcus god with Charlie/Corrine as runners up. Maybe you don't like this season because you don't know what's going to happen next. I saw Dani at Survivor Skills say the same thing..."I hate this because I don't have spoiliers". It's been way more exitcing this season, when you don't know what's going on. If you want to know the ending to stuff read the book and then go watch the movie, then complain about how they fucked up the ending to the book in the movie. ;) |

Corinne called Sugar a moron in her confessional... her smugness annoys me so much. It never occurred to her that Sugar may have found the idol. She was
certain that Bob would achieve in one trip what Sugar would have failed in four or five.

donut I think Orange is referring to Jeff Probst's blog.
.....This horse is definitely going in a different direction and the person sitting in the saddle is Kenny. Kenny is...the new kid in town. Watching Kenny come of age is reality's version of watching great Shakespeare. He's maturing from a young man into a
leader...and in this game that means he may soon gain the throne. Ah, but if he gets too cocky, the gods will descend and a beheading is soon to follow. Watch
yourself Kenny. A healthy dose of humility could help win you a million dollars.

I think just about every other Survivor has called Sugar stupid at one time, which leads me to believe that she will be the winner. They are giving her a very
positive edit, but seem to be hiding a lot. How has Kenny convinced her to go along with his plan? I think there is a lot we are not seeing.
