I would guess that if you come very close to making it onto a season, they will always tell you that they are thinking about using you for the next season. At
this point, SEG probably isn't sure where exactly the next location will be, and what type of twists they may try to use, so they don't know if
"your friend" would fit onto that season.
They probably tell that to everyone that gets cut in the final round of cuts. |

yeah i've heard they tell EVERYONE who they cut "we loved you...but it's just not your time." or "we loved you..and we'll call you
next season" or "we loved you...but the producers didn't." they all "love" everyone--but the fact of the matter is, they're
looking for characters who act as puzzle pieces on a 16-20 peice jigsaw puzzle. they all have to mesh somehow to either compliment each other or be polar
opposites to cause drama. crystal was rejected for s16 in the finals, and erik from s16 was denied from s15 because he turned in a late application and they
had already casted an "erik with a k" so they told him to wait until next season. and SEASON 19 IS HAPPENING. i don't see why they wouldn't
do it. Jeff is signed on through s20, and there was an article just a few weeks ago where Les Moonves stated "Survivor isn't going away any time
soon." So go ahead and spill your info---but it better be believable or you might as well not try.

Well I'm really admitting my geek factor here, but not only do I have all the themes, I actually have a few of my favorite challenges (and a couple of
tribal councils as well) saved as mp3's and on cd's in my car.
A few years ago, before I had my car, I bought this big heavy surround sound system and had to lug it several blocks from the bus stop to my house. I was listening to my iPod and an immunity challenge came on, I think it was the relay race from Marquesas where John & the General didn't know how to row. Suffice it to say that it was the perfect track to come on for the situation I was in. As I struggled to get this big awkward package down the street, I just listened to the immunity challenge music and kept thinking to myself "I can do it! I'm almost there! Just a little further!"
