I wouldn't mind seeing Dutch end up a corpse. Maybe have Billings investigate his murder and watch him just decide to bag it.

damn...
that was the first time in all of the seasons that mara has been around that i actually liked her as a character. i guess its just the first time they've showed her as a human being and not some sort of total bitch. dancing with her son and "corinne is working with the police" sealed it for me. wow. such excitement! they really ratcheted up the drama tonight. this one playing that one and this deal vs that deal, et. al.. aceveda kicking ass (he don't like it if a dick is up his ass, or anywhere near any other orifice.) vic back in super-vic mode. corinne replacing mara as my most hated character... the only plot point that i couldn't understand over the last few eps, and help me here my shield buds... if shane and mara wanted to deal only with corinne on the phone calls, and wanted vic excluded, where the hell did shane and mara expect corinne to get the specific answers about the ongoing police activity to catch their asses? corinne is a fucking nurse. how else could she have received police information without vic or her cooperation with the police? especially that last call after mara calling corinne complacent in the possible death of her babies. corinne is all "they will be releasing your photos to the local news..." wtf? how could she possibly know that? that plot direction was stupid and very un-shield like. eh, but maybe my problem is moot now anyway. we'll see. overall, a great ep...

I think what Shane and Mara wanted Corrine to do was to have Vic feed her information on what the police were doing or they would rat on Vic's crimes.
They specifically told Corrine to tell Vic and Ronnie that they had better help them escape or Shane's blackmail package would be sent to the police. I
suppose they didn't want Vic messing with the phone calls to try and get information on where they were.
Yeah, Mara won me over in this eppy too. Those scenes with Shane, Mara, and Jackson were so sweet. You can tell they are heading for some bad scenes with these nice peaceful ones being shown to us.... |

The scenes with Shane and his family were tough to watch.
We're at the brink of the abyss now. This isn't going to end well for anyone. |

i don't know how many eps remain Three episodes left. I think the moral of the story here is that when your best remaining option is running away to a goat farm in Mexico, you know you've probably made some questionable choices in life. |

I've never liked Mara, but I have to hand it to her. She's a ride-or-die bitch and you can't be mad at her for holding it down, but I really
don't think she can have her cake and eat it too. I think she'll have to choose between Jackson and Shane's freedom.

Yeah, i can't really fault her if she does rat on Shane. The idiot has it coming, he's fucked up one time after another, and Mara has stood by the
dolt. Now he's endangering her and her two children, she's brave but stupid to go along with him. She really should bail.

Is it wrong that I kind of envy Shane and Mara's relationship?

the best part of this show now is that everybody pretty much knows everybody else's shit at this point.
they all play the same parts, but most of the secrets have been relieved. and they all just lie to each other in every sentence. (heh! reminds me of work.) the shield is the first show that really makes me squirm in my chair as i watch it. in the rest of television, sofa the viewer knows something (or more) than the characters. not the shield. shit. they probably have something on me at this point! the shield has shattered that wall that tv has always kept so perfect. i don't like the characters knowing as much or more than i do. this is an incredible, fascinating and wonderful television show... it always has been. from that first ep when vic whacked terry i was hooked. but these final eps are perfect! |

The Cassidy scene totally freaked me out.
She reminds me of Carrie (right before the prom scene). This isn't going to end well. |

Episode 7.12 - "Possible Kill Screen"
11 hours to go until the second to last Shield episode ever! Kill Screen - A kill screen is a stage or level in a video game (often an arcade game) that stops the player's progress due to a programming error or design oversight. Rather than "ending" in a traditional sense, the game will crash, freeze, or behave so erratically that further play is impossible. |
