Posts: 862 (11/07/08 9:36 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	oh holly. though i get the sense that shes going to be back soon loved the awkwardness of michael announcing his engagement. such a season 2 moment. back then when every other scene with michael was oh so incredibly painful but hilairously awkward . angela needs to run away from andy with dwight to a shabby motel, then afterwards angela needs to dump dwight as well and tell him that she only wants to remain friends. oh and have the baby be andy's. otherwise the 'happy ending' can be seen from miles away... predictable much?

Ryan had a brief, but funny appearance, too. BTW this was the Stephen Merchant-directed episode (he was one of the creators and writers on the original series) and I just saw Ricky Gervais is going to be on Conan tonight, for anyone who's a fan.

With the little screen time she has now, they give her the more emotional scenes with less humor. The Halloween bit last week though was hysterical. She's a great foil for Jim and Michael. I don't really get what the deal is with Pam and Jim other than an obvious attempt to not have them turn into Sam and Diane. Having them be physcially separated but still interacting, is awkward and unconvincing. In the real world Jim would have left Dunder Miflin and moved to New York to be with Pam and get a real job. Are we really supposed to believe that all Jim wants is to stay in Scranton and sell paper forever? Pam has dreams but Jim's big dream is to buy his parent's house? That is just sad. I don't want Jim to leave but c'mon. I'm not enjoying the Angela/Andy/Dwight triangle. Kelly was great this episode and I was happy to see her used again. This show could use a lot more Kelly, Stanley, Phyllis, Kevin, Oscar. And Creed is great but I think small doses of him are best. It's embarrassing to me that I'm not bright enough to figure out why my posts always display with a gray background.

Posts: 11911 (11/08/08 7:23 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Best episode of the season--the show is definitely making a comeback from last year (and on that note I must encourage people who gave up on My Name is Earl to check it out again; it's the best its been since season 1). I must admit I felt like an idiot at the very beginning though. When Michael was telling people he got engaged, I was just like "Did I miss an episode or something?" I did have a minor 'realism' complaint though; you'd think that, unless your his fiancee, you would leave the room when a guy is calling his mother to share some important news like an engagement.

Kelly's scenes were all great, I loved how Michael understood why she did what she did. And this is the first time I have enjoyed the Jim/Pam scenes in quite a while. I loved when Pam burst out with TWSS and her coworkers turned around to look at her.
